What time on Sat, 1/26? Of course my rear quarter is crumpled. We lost an argument with a truck bumper. Am I still allowed to show up with it?

This is great news guys! The party starts at 12:00 and goes till whenever. You are allowed to come with damage. This isn't so much a show as it is just a get together of car lovers.

LoudxB - How many miles on your car? What year? Ever had your coils replaced? Sounds like you might need new coils.

Manny - What do you want to get out of the car? Handling, looks, speed, etc...

I know what you need!! Exhaust...say....flowmax. Sounds amazing. Well gee...I happen to have this. $375.00 and it's all yours. OR to any body else that gets me the cash first. I want to keep it in STL. I will be pulling it off my car in the next couple of days.

Flowmax.com.

Your right. I don't know what I was thinking. My life has been turned upsidedown in the last couple of days. Litteraly and figuratively.

Magnaflow $375.00. Here is link and pic. Its just like the pic except its not polished all the way to cat.

Where the heck did I get flowmax?

Flomax is that medicine for old guys with swollen prostates who can't pee right! Must be watching too much TV!

To all potential buyers I have had this exhaust for a year and a half now and I still love it. Great sound, not too loud, great looking tips. Other STL people have heard mine in person and can vouch. $375 is highway robbery too.

2004, 28k miles, i bought it with 26k last year. I only drive it for fun. It was previously owned by a single lady. I talked to her about all of the work done to the car and she never mentioned coils, though she did mention plugs. I'm more of a all show no go type of guy but i bought the 8 to get into tuning. Is there any way to test the coils? Warrenty issue? I still have some warrenty left...

Yeah LoudxB you should have warranty left, but this isn't necessarily a warranty problem, or any problem at all. I've seen bone stock 8's dyno anywhere from the 160s to as much as 200. There are a LOT of things that can influence a dyno reading, including the type of dyno it was. Some people on the forum have replaced coils many times already, but it is mostly in cases where the car was tuned to run more aggressively. If this lady you bought it from went easy on it all the time that could be a cause of problems with a rotary.

When I had my compression tested because of a recall last year the Mazda tech asked if i'm easy on it, or if i rev it up a lot. When i told him i rev it up he said i won't have any problem, and i didn't. When you're at Mazda next just make sure they check for all the recalls and service bulletins.

Good reading on service bulletins here:

Look at the 6th one called "Ignition coil inspection". Ask them to do this for you.

My favorite is how turbo neon guys get mad when you call it a neon. They say "its an SRT4! Nowhere on the car does it say neon!" Which is true, but come on, it is obviously a neon.

STLRX8 I'm sad you have to go from the 8 to a neon...

Yes faster than my 8 even thought about being. 20+mpg, more room inside, starts easy in cold, warms up really quick, go faster parts are cheaper, cheaper payment, front wheel drive..........

Oh wait.....its still a neon .
