When i bought my 8 from ackerman toyota in st louis. He also had a supra in the garage. I said....hey how much is that and the salesman laughed and said 100 thousand. Supposedly it had the track record in St. Louis and supposedly had 1000 hp.

The Supra you are talking about, I believe, is the exact same one WaterLogged was speaking of. I know the one H2O speaks of is owned by a car dealer....which I remember being Ackerman.

Hi STL, just bought an 04 RX8 GT fully loaded 27k miles. I also drive a Scion xB (www.clubstlscion.com) and an s-10 (www.s-seriesforum.com). I build custom cars as a hobby and can't wait to tear into this RX8. I do all of the local car shows and some national shows. Hope to see some of you there!

Its kinda funny that you guys are talking about Ackerman.... they sponsor our Scion club. Yes that Supra has the time trial record at Gateway.

STLRX8 nice choice of exhaust. I've had the Magnaflow for about a year and a half now and really like it. Make sure you clean those exhaust tips OFTEN because they'll be hard as hell to get clean if you let them go.

Did you pick up that used magnaflow in the for sale section? (smart choice)

Thanks, I did pick it up. As soon as i saw it I knew I had to move fast. It sounds really nice. Parking in the parking garage has a entire new meaning. I really like how it pops too. Its nice how you can keep it quite or let it be deafening if you want. Its got a really nice tone. Very please here. I cant wait for summer.

Whats your cleaner choice?

Wow that xB looks like a vacuum cleaner its so low! I can't believe its even driveable.

STLRX8 my cleaner of choice is 2 fold. First, i TRY to wash it often with the same soap/water i use on my car. This is your first line of defense by preventing it from building up and burning on. Then i occasionally use a chrome polish for use on rims or similar surfaces, and it helps cut through the really tough stuff. I used this last spring after not having washed all that often during the winter.

And you better bet i washed my car...

Thats cool. Looking clean guys.

After the wash I went for a drive down to south county best buy. You know the farthest from my house, windows down, sunroof open, back windows popped. It was a good night.

haha no worries the xB is on air.

When the weather breaks, we should set up a cruise! I wonder if there are enough people in STL to set up a rx-8 club. I'm VP of STL Scion but there are a ton of scion drivers so we always have new members coming in.

While i'm on the topic of STL Scion... we are holding our 3rd annual birthday bash at Adrenaline Motorsports in St. Charles. Free food/drink, free sound competition, discounted dyno runs, and just one good time. I'll be driving my rx-8 there because i don't carry insurance on my xB in the winter.

January 26th 12:00PM till whenever.

Sounds fun. I am actually off work that weekend too. Count me 65% in until the date gets closer.

I try and round up the 8's with my friends(non 8's but really fast cars) for cruises, but I think I don't give enough notice for everyone to make it.

Manny. I'm a rookie too. Got mine in june. Just tinted and cat back exhaust(which i highly recommend). I know that most say you cant tell a difference, but I can. Its got better power on the low side. It seems to rev faster....if thats possible.

I was on olive yesterday and saw a car with your avatar stuck on the back(sticker) so I was wondering what base it was.

How often do the guys that live "near" STL get to the city?
