Yea........combined with the fact that people keep trying to steal my car....... I was considering buying a house. If I could sell the Shinka for $28 - $22k ish I would buy a BMW 8 series (older) cash and use the remainder to buy a house here or move back to Philly. I am really homesick and usually get that way around the holidays.

It is on autotrader. I was looking at one of the 8 series because it's not something you see everyday. Either that or an older Supra (88 - 91). Both I could buy cash and fix to my liking. Or I just may keep my 8.

 

If you're thinking of Supra you need to talk to Katie (fourdoor). She sold her 8 a while back, but I recall her having a Lexus that she dropped a Supra twin turbo motor in. Now that girl knows powerful cars.

 

When could we all get together again... im kinda of a newbie.... I have an 8 but am looking at another one for sale... I live in St. Peters and O'Fallon.... (divorced parents) don't ask... anyways i'm 25 and was just wondering if any other 8 owners want to get together in January to shoot the **** and have lunch somewhere??

I'd definitely be up for something in January, but I won't be available until the weekend of the 20th. That doesn't mean that you all can't get off your butts and hang without me, though. Now if you all want to meet during the week anytime beforehand for a happy hour or something I'd be up for that. Any takers?

Also, if anyone isn't doing anything already for New Years' I'm probably going to be staying home this year and have a few people over. I'm thinking about a small keg o' beer, BBQ, darts, Guitar Hero (both I & II ), xbox 360, etc. Anyone who wants to swing by can crash at my place if you're feeling a bit tipsy. Well mine is for sale. It's a 2005 Shinka. It has the foam filled rails for less noise and more stability, front and rear Mazdaspeed sway bars, Mazdaspeed front and rear bumber, front tower strut brace, Mazdaspeed muffler, 5" stainless steel exhaust, Chrome rims, 245/45ZR18 Yok's, and Revi ram air intake with K&N. 23,750 miles. You might want to take a look before you go shopping. Or if you know anyone interested. If I get the right offer I will let her go.

Sorry Waterlogged did not make it. I got a touch of the stomach flu (it was going around my office) and was in bed all day on Sunday. Ended up going to church last minute for New Years. Then back to bed.

 

no problem chico... I had that bug the weekend before Christmas. Nothing like doing your last minute shopping while feeling like your stomach is going to explode in all directions.

We ended up having a great time for New Years this time around. A few friends that "forgot" to RSVP ended up showing up and we ended up playing darts, rocking out to Guitar Hero, watching Jackass, smoking cigars, and eating & drinking plenty.

Btw, the houses next to me are still for sale.

I have been out of the loop for a while mostly because now I am officially part of Club Marbles :-\ My car is at the dealership now for them to look over tomorrow. Hope they can get this fixed on the first try. I had a tech sit with me and he says it may be motor mounts. So... when's the next meet? =D
