Yes I am, and as far as what prompted it do you mean why did I decide to have it checked or do you mean why did the dealer actually do it?

 

Why did you or the dealer decide to do it? I'm interested in what (if any) problem the engine may have presented to prompt the compression test. Or was it because you were near the end of your core engine warranty and wanted the test done?

 

It was mainly because I was at 95,000 miles so I wanted to get it done and see what they said, if nothing else just to see what kind of compression I had.
I was starting to have minor problems with hot starts but nothing too serious.

It was actually kinda a pain to get them to do the compression test, when the tech first drove it he said he saw no reason to do it, but I went up and talked to him and told him thats the main reason I came in, so after waiting about 3 hours they told me it had low compression.

 

If the dinner is still on, I don't have anything planed for Thursday night.

 

I'll be down for the valley tomorrow if the weather is somewhat nice

Never been to a car meet. I wanted to get an Rx8 mostly because it would stand out better than the countless civic, eclipse, celica and mustang cars out there.

 

they are fun the 8's usually stand out... but sometimes there are some really incredible cars at these meets

 

yea dont think ill be rollin to the meet tonight, have to much work on the ride still to do, trying to pull the system as we speak so that i can transfer that to the G.
