So havent been on here in a few days since ive been busy but it was nice to meet a couple of you guys also.

Anyway i figured id say something in here first so i wouldnt sound like an idiot in front of a lot more people. But anyway im looking at exhaust and i know that just a cat-back dosent really give much extra power, and most of the power gains come from removing the cat. So anyway do you guys think it would be a bad idea to just get a mid-pipe? im sure it will change the sound quite a bit im not sure if it would be good or not though.

Idk just seeing what you guys think about that.

 

I did just a mid-pipe to judge which cat-back to go with
i get a raspy resonance at 4k and 8k and could tell no noticeable gains.
you need midpipe and catback to make any real difference.

 

^right what james said, and raspy is an understatement you need both to sound good and get power, The stock exhaust system is super restrictive cat and cat-back included, if you dont want a mid-pipe get a hi-flow cat thats probably something I will be picking up this summer.

 

yes agreed and even then your looking at about a 20 HP gain with the midpipe and exhaust. after its tuned... so your gains are not Much with our cars compared to others but i do like the sounds i get from my borla exhaust and when i had my midpipe they sound great together. BHR just came out with a excellent midpipe id look into. they spent a long time developing it to get the sound and performance right. there is a thread on here to buy it i dont belive its even on their site yet.

exhaust wise, just dont get a single exhaust like ryan did.. may sound good but looks SOOOO GAYYYY
