Service in Metro Detroit???
Now that many of us own cars that are about 3 yrs. old, I was just wondering if anyone in the Metro Detroit area who does not do their own regular maintenance has identified a place that can competently service the RX-8, whether it be anything from an oil change to specific rotary engine related service?
Dealerships can be ridiculously expensive and sometimes not any more knowledgeable about your vehicle than the average garage. Any suggestions would be helpful!

I've had good luck with SESI on Michigan Ave in Ypsilanti. They've done all my TSBs so far and haven't given me any issues. They really seem to know their stuff on the RX-8s.

I've used Sesi also... (oil changes only so far).... but I was thinking of starting to do my own oil changes....
They even performed the recall without the recall later!.... no questiones asked... I didn't even have an appointment and dropped it off one day and they had it done by the afternoon...
No complaints with them.

SESI on Michigan Ave in Ypsi has done all my services as well and they have done a great job. As an added plus they have also always treated me as a valued customer even though I didn't buy my RX there. Customer service.........what a great concept.

^^ Agreed. They provided a rental car at no charge. The first time I went there, I got a dirty-busted-up-possibly-once-abandoned-POS Cavalier from a offsite Enterprise office. I can back and let the manager know what I thought of the loaner.
After that, Enterprise has a desk at the dealer and the vehicles are brand new off the lot. I was much happier with the Freestyle instead of the Cavalier.
Another note, the guys in the parts counter are super nice too.
