Saw a silver 8 turning south on 25th St from Hwy 370, near BELLEVUE MEDICAL CENTER. Had an aftermarket front bumper and some aftermarket wheels. I usually don't go in for that stuff, seems like most are over the top. But this one looked nice.

we seriously need a meet up. I went to a local ricer meet up oh god. just riced out cars like civics with aftermarket short intakes and painted engine covers. mostly stripped out interior and crappy paint job.
there was a taurus had a cone intake following what appears to be a intercooler before the pipe goes into the engine bay hanging under the front bumper.
just some kids messing about with their cars.
I brought my stock clean RX8 and I felt like I brought a surgical knife to do some tree cutting.

went to a meet called Show n Shine yesterday...it's every wednesday night at 84th and center at a bar called Flashbacks. There werent many cars there but i was the only "tuner" there. One awful looking 8 showed up and left without even parking... i was glad he left tho, most of the people there woulda hated on him for sure. ALSO i'll be going to cars and coffee this saturday. hopefully some sweet 8's and not crappy ones show up.

 

What does 2013 hold for Nebraska RX-8 owners? I would sure like to meet up and pick your brain, I'm new to rotary world. Wife bought me a deployment toy - 2007, I get back in the Spring.

Hello! The interstate meeting is gaining ground! Groups from Wisconsin, Chicago, Central Illinois are all on board! Total number of cars is at least 75-100 so far! Hey, is there anyone from the lincoln area on here?

 

I am getting anxious for spring to be here and looking for autocross events / track day / HPDE events in Omaha. I am from Central IL but want to plan a trip to Omaha to visit some friends. I want to work some car-related fun into the trip. Any Omaha/Lincoln locals have some advice on where to go in Omaha area?

So far, I have determined that NASA has an event April 26-27 at the Mid America Motorplex. SCCA is more active in my region so I was hoping to find an SCCA event out there. Having trouble finding the local SCCA club, or maybe their 2014 calendar is just not up yet.

I would prefer an HPDE or track event at Mid America Motorplex, though it seems that autocross might be the easier option.
