Be truely believe the air pump staying on after you turn your car off is normal.
It is trying to burn the leftover exhaust gases in the system.

At this point wife will not let me spend any more $$ on the car

I am tempted get a boost controller and boost her up to 10 psi

I hear you on the wife thing and the boost thing...Next time you get on it in 1st and 2nd see what your boost is doing. Mine drops down to 3lbs in 1st and 4lbs in second. Once I'm in 5th or 6th it'll jump up to 5.5lbs???

<rant>
My neighbors house (and a bunch down the street) got hit by orange paint ***** last night.. _EEK_

One of the ones from my neighbors house was either shot OVER my RX-8 or the person was standing next to it when they shot.. In either case, I'm not happy..

So the car cover is now on the RX-8.. (gotta get my housemate moved out so I can get the car in the garage!)

I just bought a black RX8. I live in St. Paul. I don't see many RX's around here either - although I just took the car up north to Lutsen to celebrate my wedding anniversary. While driving up to Grand Marias (sp?) admist all the pickups pulling boats or minivans full of kids, I passed a blue RX8 heading the other way.

Aric.

1st and 2nd gear I'm running 3 and in the rest of the gears it gets higher...5th gets 5 and sometimes 6th will get around 6psi??? I just called this place and they said I can bring my car in to get Dynoed, so we will look for leaks and see what horsepower I'm getting. I wonder if my wastegate is set low by the factory by accident or something? I'll keep you posted...Joey
