That was basically going to be my reply, too. My RX-8 has been garaged since November. I can't wait to get it moving again in March.

 

Just a random thought. I wonder if a car could be set up to use the laughing gas that they have at dentists' offices (also Nitrous Oxide). It's probably a slightly different gas compound, but imagine street racers and track junkies hitting up the local dentist offices for a hit of some cheap NOS.

 

Ann Arbor is the center of touchy-feelie Michigan and you're more likely to find environmentally friendly Prius Polishing compound there than nitrous.

I'll be at all of the SCCA Belle Isle events, hopefully, except the school. Not sure if I'll go in my R3 (C Stock) or the s2000 (STR). The s2000 is up on jackstands in need of some work.

Hello fellow RX8'ers! I've been on this forum since I considered getting an 8. Sadly, never was able to get one, but I am still in the Mazda family with a Mazdaspeed3.

I'm reaching out to you guys as i'm interested in buying a set of RX8 wheels and wanted to see if you guys had anything available?

 

My stockers are in WA where I am stationed in the Army. I'd sell you them, but they are getting a set of snow tires put on in the fall as a "just in case"

 

Damn...well i'm going to keep my eyes peeled here regardless. I missed out on a beautiful set of 09 wheels in Lansing! DAMNIT!

 

Side note: Dude is blind, and specializes in cases involving rights for those with disabilities. Impressive, blind, passed the bar, and is a successful lawyer.

My buddy met him by chance on a flight, said he was a super cool guy.

That said, they need to put a pair of sunglasses on him. For crying out loud.

 

He also runs marathons.
Sam's kids looks like they got beat up when they were growing up, they later in turn sued them and paid for the phd's.
It is a marketing blunder, imagine being from another city visiting detroit and this ad comes on.

 

I am looking for a recommendation on shop that can do some basic track related maintenance, in the Detroit area (I would prefer around downtown but am willing to travel).

Looking for pretty basic stuff: swap brakes pads, flash brake fluid, change sway bars, balance tires, a good alignment machine is a plus.

Don't really know anyone in Detroit so all recommendations are welcome.

Well that will be hard to do an alignment, won't it.
I would also like to know about a good shop in the Metro area.
There doesn't seem to be too many rx8ers from michigan for some reason.

 

If you can wait till Oct. I could help you out. Im in Iraq now, but I don't get out of my contract till then....and then I can move back to MI.
