Hey guys - Looks like I'll be moving to Rochester first of next month! While there last weekend, househunting, I only saw about two other 8s.

 

What part of rochester?

 

yeah, there aren't a ton of 8's in the metro area. which is good. i like that they aren't everywhere.

 

Looks like another galaxy gray moved in just down Granger from me. Haven't seen which house yet.

 

will be a SS in Rochester starting a week from saturday.

 

Metro cruise today in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids version of the Dream cruise.

 

I think I saw you in Rochester down town.. Or it might have been some one ales....

I'm not that much in Rochester down town.. Mainly to get some sumo sushi ...

But I did see a black rx8 r3 up at Teinken and Rochester about 3 weeks ago..

I just got my RX and I was cruising the D.
I didn't see another out there, just abunch of hoopties and donked out suv's
I live in windsor and there are a bunch of rx-8's. In a 2 block Radius there is me with the Red one , a yellow one, an orange one (tuner), two white ones, a new blue one and three black ones.
there is also a bunch of vintage english cars too? I wonder if there is anything in the water.

I don't know why, but I just bought an '09 RX-8 R3 to go with my '02 Honda s2000. I am still breaking it in, but the suspension tuning is perfect and the car looks great. I hope to see some of you guys around town.

Are you a California transplant, too? I used to live in Norcal, San Jose area. Where in the Midwest are you now?

 

i go to school craft in livonia ive seen two different rx8's there a black on an a new 2009 black one

 

There is 2 r3 in Shelby Twp and I seen one r3 in Rochester.. But it will be cool if some one puts together a fall bar meet...

I am already waiting for next summer so I can go to my parents lake house there and cruise like crazy all over the area. long, flat roads where you can see for miles and I never see police.

ok so its actually a nordic green 2004 rx8 at my school and a black 2009 rx8. today i was parked next to a big school craft college sign when a gray rx8 drove by license plate rotarypwr

 

That'd be me. I was up there there with my wife to check out the school. Don't see two RX's sitting together very often so I couldn't resist rollin' by. Was up there again today and saw the Nordic RX again. It was crappy weather, but is that RX debadged or just have blacked out emblems? Looked nice anyway.

 

the other nordic green one that is there is debagged, and has aftermarket rims.
mine is all stockers on the outside

 

I am sure happy I havent put my winter tires on, this november weather has been awesome! There won't be too many other nice days to cruise the D.
The folks in Highland park even had smiles on their faces. (Man that is a rough area of town)

 

Well, I had plan on moving to Arizona soon but I guess its gonna have to wait. I was expecting to get a wind turbine technician job out west. I got hired by GE and will be working at their new site in West Lafayette,IN.

Im just excited they hired me and I'll work where ever they want me now.

I start on the 30th.

 

Just wanted to say hi everyone... new RX8 owner, Velocity Red 6sp, been having fun with the new ride the last few weeks and reading up on all the RX8 info the past couple months on the net...

Who do you guys go to for service around here? I like to do most of the work myself when I can, but took my car over to Ferndale Mazda for some recall work when I got a fairly bad impression from the nearby Suburban Mazda in Troy...Suburban was telling me some line about not being able to do the factory recall check/work for the ECM reflash unless I 'brought in the car with specific problems/symptoms...'. and added, 'but sir, we can't tell you what those symptoms are...ha ha'. Didn't know recalls worked like that, but maybe they do at Suburban...

Anyone know of any17" winter wheel/tire sets for sale out there? Trying to track something down that's affordable...
