MI Poker Run Sept 13
1st Annual To Hell and Back Poker Run

To benefit:
Make-a-wish foundation of Michigan
Are you a driver who loves touring twisty and winding roads? How would you like to tour a scenic area that top automobile magazines use to evaluate the newest cars and trucks? Would you like to show off that pretty top performer you are tinkering with every spare minute of your time? Ever been to Hell? Want directions on how to get there (and more importantly how to get back!)? Come out for the inaugural To Hell and Back Poker Run.
A poker run is a driving tour during which 5 stops are made. At each stop, the participant draws a card for their poker hand. At the finish, the person with the best poker hand wins! Sorry, no bluffing involved.
Date: September 13th
Rain date of September 14th (if there is more than 40% chance of rain on the 13th)
The driving plan is:
1. Meet at registration location. Huron Meadows Metropark, 8765 Hammel Road, Brighton, MI 48116. Registration time is 9AM to 11AM. You will have to purchase the Metropark daily pass at that time. Ask for registration location at the gate.
2. Stop in at Delhi Metropark on Huron River Drive.
3. Wander up to Hell, Michigan. Stop into Screams Ice Cream and Damnation University (http://www.damu.com/). Snack and get a degree in one of the 162 degrees offered at this unique institution of higher learning (such as PhD in Shade Tree Mechanics or Bachelor of Culinary Ignorance)
4. Drive the twisty Unadilla loop and stop into Inverness Inn for a bite.
5. Wander down to Yesterday's Collection and snack in a 50's style ice cream shop or browse the huge automotive collectibles sold there.
6. Swing back north to Hudson Mills Metropark to the finish/awards. Awards will be done at 7PM.
Proposed Prizes:
• best poker hand
• 2nd best poker hand
• best car/bike of group [decided by Executive Steering Committee]
• 2nd best car/bike of group [decided by Executive Steering Committee]
In the event of ties, most black wins.
Entrance: $15 per participant a $4 park pass to use the Metroparks is required
Extra cards: $5 each, 2 max, becomes 5 card draw, turn in extra cards when cards are purchased.
This event is a charity event to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation of Michigan. Proceeds will be donated to the foundation to help support the organization and assist deserving children make their wishes come true. More information about the Make A Wish foundation can be found at http://www.wishmich.org/.
