Yea, i have been looking at a few mods to put on the car maybe a K&N intake, and i really like the sound of the Racing beat exhaust...

Snow driving has been a big thought in my mind i am planing on trying to get some all-season tires ive been looking at the goodyear eagles, they seem to be a good tire... any sugestions?

I've just put on a set of F1 A/S this fall. So I'm looking forward to seeing how they do. I don't know of any others who have purchased the Goodyears. Some have probably purchased the 17" specials from tirerack. (and swap snow and normal tires as the season dictates) And some have purchased tire brands that I am not very familiar with that they run all year long. And they tell me they work ok. I'll let others chime in on their specific experience in these areas.

I have the K&N Typhoon cold-air intake. It changes the sound a bit. But I do not have any exhaust mods. I'm sure someone here can share their experience with exhaust mods.

I have the usual slotted and cross drilled disks, with axxis pads. But I haven't gotten around to painting the calipers red yet. I'm still thinking about it. I also picked up some clear corners too.

Four years on, and I still think up a lot of reasons to take the car out for a spin.

Over the past few days i have spoke to the people that work in the shop at my work. They have told me that the goodyear eagle is going to be a good tire and that that is what they would recamend for a good mid-range all season.

I also looked at a few videos of people who have installed the typhoon intake. I did not realize that it changes the sound that much, but i liked how it sounded for the most part.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good tint job? My interior is black leather, and it gets hotter than hell during the summer days.

As for tint, I have been to Tint Master but got my 8 done at PDI Auto (http://www.pdiclearbra.com/) though by the business rename and the new site, it doesn't mention window tint. I would still give them a call too.

I had mine done at KC Tint Works on North Oak i have a picture of it in my album, they did a really good job for a reasonable price.

What about miscellaneous paint knicks and small scratch touch ups? Anyone have a good shop that won't gouge out my eyes, or know how to do it well yourselves?

Also, what kind of wax are you guys using to protect your babies from the relentless assault by KDOT/MODOT?

I've never had to fix a scratch or nick yet. (knocking on wood now...)

As for wax, I use my old fav Meguires #26, Mirror Glaze. It has done me well over the years.

Hey guys, new RX-8 owner in KC. I actually live in Wellsville (20 minutes south of Olathe), but I work at Black & Veatch in Overland Park. I just bought my 8 3 weeks ago.

Does anyone do any auto-x or track days on here? I would assume not as I have never seen a RX-8 out at auto-x except maybe once or twice in the past 3 years.
