First production RX-8 in Cincinnati

For all you Midwesterners, the wait is almost over -- our first RX-8 for retail delivery just came in (Jake Sweeney Mazda). I believe it's the first one in Cincinnati, based on the fact that other dealers called us to tell us they saw it on the truck as their 6's and Protege's were being dropped off. Look for yours soon...

Good news from Cincinatti!

Which port were you serviced from? Still waiting for mine in Cleveland and getting more anxious with each great review from the lucky few so far.

I'm from Akron. and quite frankly pissed that Ohio is in the NE region, we are separated from our great Lakes brethern (sp?) Anyway anxious to see a truck come up 77 and pull into Cascade Mazda. But, I am glad the RX-8 safely made it over the Ohio River.

Keiqo I second that about OH being separated from the Midwest section, perhaps a request in the suggestion forum is in order.

BTW, my 8 is coming to the Youngstown area via Tacoma then Woodhaven, but when is the question.

Not sure what you mean by Ohio not being part of the Midwest Region -- I run locates every day for customers and Ohio (or at least the part between Cincinnati and Toledo) is definitely part of the Midwest Region. I would say that maybe the eastern part of the state is part of the Northeast Region, but Cleveland vehicles show up on Midwest locators too. Anyway, at least the cars are starting to come in now, so people that were worried we would be weeks behind the rest of the country can relax a little. We have two more that should be here within the next week (all three are sold). After that, hopefully the eight or so "August Week 3" RX-8s that are showing in our inbound lists get bumped up, or we'll be without an RX-8 for a few weeks. We'll see...

Wink

JRob on the forum we are listed as being a part of the North East as far as region specific postings are concerned. Well I'm all for seccession and the creation of a new area in the RX-8 forum. The Mighty Great Lakes Region at least on the forum. Now who's with me!?!?!?!?

RX-8's on a lot

Have any of you Ohio guys noticed that Park Mazda of Wooster has 2 RX-8's sitting on their lot for sale since Monday? The preorder guys have to wait while Mazda gets the available cars on the lots to sell. I'm a little upset if you haven't noticed.

I'm also getting impatient...and I haven't even pre-ordered!

I did take the opportunity to check dealer inventories for Dayton and Cincy areas - via the Mazda Website hack poste earlier. It seems there should be quite a few coming to SW Ohio in the next month or so. I'm wondering how many of those are already spoken for.

I really need to see this car in person and drive it. Can't wait. Congrats to those who have already taken delivery or soon will. I like the pics of cars in their homes. Rather comforting after all this waiting.
