Why aren't I in the pictures??? This is discrimination

Anyway, we talked about this in our last meet at D&B but I failed to follow up. Does anyone have the latest RX-8 stereo system firmware? If so please PM me and I will host it for eveyone else to download. Share the wealth don't be stingy hogs My dealer didn't have any idea what the heck "firmware" is...

Also if anyone has the latest NAV DVD I can host that for members as well. Check the EULA to see if it's OK (for these forums sake) to share it.

Even if you host it, how do you get it downloaded to your stereo? I can understand the NAV disc because of the DVD player option, but how do you get your firmware updated into the HU?

Very curious because I need to update my stereo firmware so I can get that iPod adapter!!!

 

Oh, and you have to SHOW UP to the meet to get in the picture?

I'm going to host it for everyone to download. Then will put together some instructions to make sure everyone can update their system. My iPod connector has been sitting here for a few months now but I can't find the firmware.

It should be very easy, just pop the burned CD or DVD in, hit or hold a button and follow the instructions. I will know how when I get my hands on a copy. Hell I could find crack a lot easier! However there is a good chance of killing the system if firmware is not uploaded in one sitting and in one piece.

 

Don't I look stupid at the bottom of that list on the first page.

The other site includes all rotary cars in the Chicago area. The only people here, mostly, are RX8's.

 

Those of you who missed last night's meet... It was a lot of fun

I contacted Bose and Mazda directly. They have no idea what a Firmware is which is pretty disappointing. This firmware seems to be an after market item to me.

We can probably just buy the firmware and get our systems updated at weekly meets, but it's just too expensive. If any of you want to chip in I'll buy it and then we will update our systems. Just reply so I know how many of us are in this, then I'll divide the price to find each person's share.

Well we were only two cars, but we stayed until 12:00AM. It was a real nice place with great beer. We should go there more often.

That's ok... I'll try not to be offended that everyone blew off my first ever meet and proposal. At least QettoE, me and my wife had a great chat and a few great beers.

 

I never got a PM for a number. Plus I got a freakin chevy aveo cause my car has spring flue problems ro something hehe.

 

I was out of town, so at least I have a legit excuse ... you KNOW I woulda been there!!!
