We're talking about going on Tuesday. Though ... if you volunteer you get primo parking passes. Otherwise it is a total crapshoot on finding parking.
I've already talked to the volunteer coordinator and they would love to have people come and help (it really is a good cause: All Proceeds go to the Elimination of Child Abuse and Domestic Violence). Are people more interested in volunteering (you get free admission, a t-shirt, and a warm, fuzzy feeling cuz you're volunteering!)
Tuesday they could use volunteers in the skybox from 2-7, or beer tent in the sponsor area from 1-5:30 (you must be 21 and go through a very brief alcohol training beforehand, so you can't be late).
So, what is the overall feel here: volunteer (free primo parking and $10 entry fee waived) or just attend?

Don't know what you do for a job, but that sucks.
Tuesday's look to be bad for everyone. Mac, you know we don't get off on the 3rd...or at least management doesn't.
edit: almost forgot, Mac and I are both driving at GingerMan raceway on Friday, for sure. RSD mentioned she may head out to check out the scene. It's about 1.45 hours east of Chicago in South Haven, MI.
Last year, GingerMan allowed ride alongs, but this year we're not so sure. But if anyone wants to drive - it's $150 and you need a helmet, etc...or if you want to come and check out the scene that works. It's a full day of driving from 9-5 and at the moment should be really, really good as there are only at present 5 cars signed up.

The best days for me are Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday nights.
Red Devil, is there a website for that track day? I want to list it in the first post but don't know how people sign up beforehand.
I think the 3rd/4th of July thing should either be night of the 3rd or day of the 4th. Any preferences? We'll skip the volunteering so we can have a meet
There are a couple of park n ride locations for this event. We could park and meet there and then if people wanted to go to Ribfest we can jump on the bus?

All you have to do is show-up and pay $150 at the door. The car will need to pass a tech inspection, have good brake fluid and an approved helmet.
