I have been trying to get some ppl together and meet up somewhere. We had a total of four ppl going but we want more. If you are interested just chim in and let me know. The details so far are we would like to meet on August 20th which is this Sunday, at Noon. As of right now we are shooting for Newport on the Levee (Its in Newport Ky if anyone didnt know.) Just leave your thoughts here. We are doing to this so we can get to know our fellow Nati 8 owners and check out there rides. Hope we can do this Thanks Josh

 

I'm not entirely certain I can be there, outside chance I'll be at the Reds game at 1pm. Where at in Newport?

 

I guess we should get this a lil more organized first. So if anone has any up coming dates they would like to meet up we can run it by everyone. Just post your thoughts. I am all for a meet just let me know when we can get a good amount of ppl and where we would want to meet.

 

I live in Russell, Ky. which is close to Ashland. It is about a two and a half hour drive for me, but I would like to come up sometime. Could use a little more notice. Hope to be able to meet some of you at a cruise, etc.

I thought I'd try to kick off a simple get together, so let me see if this works. I'll suggest a couple of times and places, and which ever get's the most available people, we'll do.

How about Saturday, June 16 or June 23?
Meet at Newport on the Levee, or Ault Park (Hyde Park).

Post a reply with your preferred day and we'll sort out a good place to meet up, suggest someplace to go for a cruise, then maybe a pub for wings and a beer after.

I'm really hoping somehting comes together and a few RX-8 gather up. If you know any RX-7's in the area, invite them too and let's all connect.

So far it looks like the 23 works for several, at Newport on the Levee. If you know of other's from the area, PM them directly or invite. I don't know any other -8 drivers yet (which is why I'm looking forward to meeting up!).

BTW - I'm in the Loveland / Lebanon area - anyone else near me?

If you wanted to, you could open it up to a Rotary meet, and try to get a few more cars out. Just a thought...

 

Man.. that 23th is perfect... i dont know if alot of us can do it during the weekdays...
I was thinking about meeting up early around 4 or 3 on that free parking lot right across Hofbrauhaus and sideways of newport in the levee... then we can go for a cruise, I dont care where... or we can head up to devou park and take some pics of the 8's with the cincy background for future meetings.
then maybe head back to newport and get some beers and food at the Hofbrauhaus.

I posted an invite on rx7club.com, and I'll also put one on the ohiorotaries site. Here's what I'll put out there:

-Meet 3:00 p.m. at the free parking lot across from Hofbrauhaus on June 23
-Cruise in the afternoon, maybe 100 or so miles (route to be determined, plus maybe some picture taking along the way) and back at the Hofbrauhaus around 6:00 p.m.
-At the Hofbrauhaus from 6:00 for whatever happens there
