That car with key light is for the security/immobilizer function. I don't really know how to help you out but hopefully that points you in the right direction.

I'd advise against any 04 unless is well within warranty and has had a recent engine replacement. $17.5 for 45K miles seems very high too.

Yes, Joe is the GM there (a good friend of mine) Here's a link to the car there - it is a MT, no leather, but only 4700 miles.

Now my car starts fine....sort of.

Well, I left it at work over night (right around the corner and on base). This morning I took the valet key (can't find my spare with keyless entry, suspect my three year old has hidden it) and it started up no problem. My original key still doesn't work, suspect battery??? I will take it to the dealership and have it checked for codes when I have time. Hopefully all is well now.

I agree i bought an 04 galaxy grey with two tone leather blk and brown MT and it only had 35K miles and i spend 16,500 with an extended war. so im covered till 2011 or 100K miles

summer tires are on...wheels seem to be in pretty bad shape. paint is chipping all along the rim.

as dealerships go, anderson mazda has been the best to me of any dealership ive ever dealt with. and the parts guy emo is one of the coolest parts guys ive ever met.

good luck with your car. is this out of pocket, or is it still covered?

I agree - that is a good shop with good people. This February, when I was replacing my brake pads, we broke one of the caliper bolts, and the techs there went thru their misc parts bins and found one for me for free (instead of ordering one bolt for $12.95 and waiting 3 days)

Ouch, but refinishing a wheel is really not all that tough.

located near algonquin and 83 in mt. prospect

i think it's like $150 to fix a rim, including tire mounting. they won't do bent rims though. 24hr turnaround.

Isn't the price base on the damage ? I mean if I only have a little damage, compare to the whole side of the rim, I figure it should be different .

I think it's a flat rate as long as it's repairable. I was going to take my stocks there but changed my mind b/c i'm buying an aftermarket set in the future.

Hey guys -- I am moving to Whiting, IA in a few weeks to work at the refinery during the summer (nice break from law school!). Looks like there are quite a few rx8club members up there, I look forward to meeting up with yall!

I am really wanting to get some Tein H-Techs this summer along with a catback exhaust (probably rx8store). Do yall ever do install parties, etc? I won't have many tools up there but I'd love to meet up and throw some parts on the rx8!

PS -- I posted a thread a few weeks ago with some pics, feel free to check them out! I am looking forward to the road trip -8)
