Ok - it's that time of year - who's switched to summer tires? I'm thinking of swapping them this week...

Yeah, I might even try to switch mine out tonite - I hate running down the snows on the warm pavement, but as weird as this weather has been, I'm glad I waited...

I actually started parking in the garage again. Ironically I didn't do that in the winter, due to me having no snow tires in the first quarter of winter. Plus it was hard to get out of the alley. Well since now birds are coming out again, time to park it in or face the wrath of bird drop bombs.

Lilring - Are you selling your 8 to buy a another 8 - 6-spd this time?

You Rockford guys familiar with RBI Grill on riverside and perryville? They do a weekly "drive-in" night - I'm not sure what night it is (I'll find out) or if anyone is welcome, but I drive past there on my way home from work and every week I'll see a parking lot full of everything from hotrods to muscle cars to vettes and more - might be a cool place to meet up.

It was a autocross race school las weekend in Joliet at RT66. Practice Saturday and race Sunday.
There is another event their this weekend. http://www.tsscc.org/ is running the event on Saturday and http://www.scca-chicago.com/solo/index.html on Sunday. I race my RX8 and I had two students with RX8s. It was an awesome weekend. By there last run on Sunday they were both flying! There is plenty of room on both days so come on out. You can look me up and I will help if you have any questions. My car is silver #516 and my name is Chris.

Yep - saw it in your sig...what do they have over at the Ford store? (Rock River I assume) Not really that surprised - I know last summer you said you really wished you had the MT. I know there's an used 07 blue down at Brian Bemis Ford Mazda Hyundai as well - pretty sure it is a MT, looked like a base or GT model (no wing, etc)

Advice Needed!

I tried to start my car after lunch today, and I got nothing. Lights, radio, etc are just fine, but the car will not even crank. The little car with the key (idiot light) is flashing and I don't think it was before. Has anyone experienced this before. I searched a bunch and didn't find any similar problem addressed. i was hoping one of you had run across something like this and could point me in the right direction. I will try another key, then get it towed to the dealership if no one has a better idea. Thanks in advance.

it could be the key, or you left some light on which killed the battery maybe.

yeah, the one at rock river is fully loaded 04. but they have it priced a lil high i think. they have it for like $17,500 with 45,000 miles on it. im going to check that 07 out. i dont care to much about the wing. i can buy a wing for it. doesnt Joe hamblock work there? but the 8 has to me a MT and i would like to have leather but im gonna check them out

This happened to me last week too. I tried it again after a few seconds and the car started back up again like nothing bad ever happened. Scared the crap out of me. I suggest Liberty Auto City on Rockland Rd. in Libertyville. I'm taking mine in Thursday for the 30k checkup, new plugs and appearance/mudflap pieces installed YES FINALLY! I haven't taken mine to Rosen Mazda in Waukegan because I got turned off by their sales dept in Rosen Lincoln (Honda) Gurnee, but let me know how that goes if you go there.

As for the winter tires, I haven't swapped mine out yet. I heard this morning on FOX that we could get some wet snow Saturday. Plus I can't fit my stock tires in the car in addition to the boxes of body pieces.
