RC3 was the first group of rotary people that I met when I bought my car. When ever we had meets it always turned out to be a good time. There had been a forum for the group about a year ago with some pretty good information but some issues with the server (I think) killed it. I hooked up with a few of the guys there and we all drove down to rotary revolution together. I have some pictures of Steve's (owner of Drift Avenue) Blue fd shooting 4 ft flames out the tail pipe on the drive down there(It wasn't properly tuned yet). At the very least it is neutral ground for all of the local rotary people to meet up.

As far as the cutting down of each other I was mostly joking.......mostly.

I've only owned 3 cars, 2 of which I have now, so sadly I didn't have the chance to own a rotary previously, which I guess sets me back quite a bit in the 7 community

This is my first rotary and I have had no issues with people talking down to me. In fact most of the people that I have met have been very accepting. Now if we are talking about the tone of discussion on rx7club then I can partially agree, although many of the people who are screaming the loudest over there are barely out of there teens. I have even taken some of the FD diehard for rides around Gingerman and altered there opinions of our car.

^ yeah, 7club seems to attract a lot of teenagers with a lack of spelling skills and no money to maintain a money pit of a sports car. (respect to the FD)

I found the site up a little after 9 this morning. This is the third version of the site I've seen. I signed up there before I had the RX8 and still had a non-running RX7. I've been to 2 BBQ's and a couple of cruises and had no problems with anyone at in the Chicago Rotory community or on their web site.
I too will support Christian and RC3.

They love me....they REALLY love me.

Seriously...that's cool. It's appreciated.

As noted, I have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I know I've talked to a couple of you before, but I decided to wing it and give it a shot. This is a ground up resurrection of what I think RC3 is and should be.

I'll worry about the aesthetics of the site later. I'm trying to get the forums figured out. I've got a PHPBB that I can use which is easier to configure, but I've already killed it since I didn't know my theme template folder was screwed up, so now I have to rebuild that. I've got a vBulletin configured and am working on the specifics and getting the individual forums up, but am having some issues with some of the graphics that it's trying to call up.

Patience is all I ask for at the moment.

Thanks all for the support.

Of course you didn't...

Cause it hasn't officially been launched yet.

j/k...

Do you have a script that's been constantly checking to see if there's anything there? How did you find it that quickly. I literally had the domain name changed over that day when you found out.

I know. I just like to see the fruits of my labor. :D I can see it locally, but since I'm way rusty in some basic HTML stuff...I didn't have my code right (had local directories as sources) so I can catch that when looking at it from the server. Just my way I guess since it's all me...

LOL, i usually work with mambo and it has a preview function. I often have antsy clients that are constantly looking in while I'm working on something. I have to haul out my haircut analogy before they stop looking: it's like a haircut, if you look at it halfway through you will think it's crazy! But if you wait until it is done, you'll be amazed!

I don't. Scripting, whats that. I'm a hardware guy. I just check in periodicaly. I also noticed a change in the url registrar. Once I saw that, I started checking in more often. Also, I have the url bookmarked.
