Enjoy your 8!

Redsun welcome to the club. Maybe I'll see you at Fuel sometime.

I need a Zoom-Zoom fix badly. Barely hanging on here...

So close...the real question is which car I should drive to Fuel first? The wife said she has two cars to clean before I get home, hopefully she remembers where the car wash bucket is so she doesn't try washing them with my grout sponge again.

Xander, I've never done a seafoam, but I can lend a hand.

Chief: choices choices. I want to see both the speed and the 8, so I'm of no use.

I think you missed an important part of my previous post (see above).

I saw it and chose to ignore it. It made me cringe thinking about it.

How do you think I felt when I found out? And then she got mad because I asked her what she was thinking (I have NEVER washed a car with a sponge the whole time we have been together).

Main thing to remember when putting a fluid into a combustion chamber is not to overdo it and caused hydraulic lock. If you let it get sucked in a little at a time while the engine is running you won't have a problem. There is at least one how-to on here that should help you out.

Anyone else have a problem with not being seen? My wife told me three times in the past week she has been behind someone getting on the freeway, and when she pulled out to pass them they started drifting over into her. I told her to hit the go pedal quicker, or maybe she should stop driving like a lunatic. That just got me a "Whatever."

I've owned my 8 for a week and that's already happened to me. A Jeep Liberty drifted over when I was halfway passed her, I was in 6th so I got on the brakes pretty hard and she swerved back to her lane. Though her lack of "seeing" me was more likely due to her just not paying attention.

I very frequently don't get seen, especially during evening rush hour. There are 3 spots that 2 lanes merge into 1 on my way home and lately I've been counting the cutoffs and panic maneuvers at each spot. Mostly it's SUV's, mini vans and Camry's or other generic transportation. Sometimes I push the issue to see if I can make them drop their phone/food/drink/other distraction. What really bothers me isn't not being seen, but not being heard either. People just don't pay attention to their surroundings at all anymore. I realize that the car is low and some people might not see it as quickly to the side, but come on, you should be able to hear me. My wife and I swapped cars the other day so i could haul some stuff that I didn't want in the 8. As she took off down the road, I realized that I could hear her for at least a quarter mile. I know it's loud enough to be noticed. Chiefmg, with the magnaflow, yours isn't exactly whisper quiet. People just suck at driving.

It probably also has something to do with your cars being gray or silver. I've noticed when driving a friend's silver Cobalt that people tended to pull out in front of me and cut me off more often than when I'm driving the 8. Knock on wood, I rarely have a problem with other motorists not noticing me in the Mazda.

If I had my way we would have gotten a Black Cherry or Copper Red one, but as it is hers she said no more red cars. And it is hers, with the license plate to prove it.

Sounds sweet, but I have work and since it's an internship I'd rather not call off considering I'm only working there for 3 months.

It's more about her not liking the cornering fast thing than anything else. If I do come I'll probably bring either the Protege (if I repair my snow fun damage) or the Speed6.

I'm hoping to get to the track this year, but will probably do a 3 day with OVRPCA or the kypca later in the year. Funds just aren't there just yet. $225 for a 1 day even is pretty pricey
