Hi guys
I'm still alive. The 8's seen better days, but hoping to make some progress on it and get to fuel... if it's not to cold.
Does Fuel have coffee and cars in the winter? I'd assume a coffee place would be open, but auto event's not so much.

they are open, and there always some cars, but not like during the summer.
I won't be able to make it tomorrow, as I gotta go to dayton...
will see you guys next week!
PM me if you are planning on coming for shocks/spring installation (on sunday 21st), and some cook out. I'll let you know the direction and my phone number. planning on just a simple hotdogs and burgers.

No Fuel for me. Recovering from surgery. I haven't driven the 8 in two weeks. A few more days and maybe I'll burn off the carbon buildup.
Anyone use the GoPro WiFi Backpack and iPhone app yet? I need to upgrade the software on the cam and backpack first I guess. Trying to get moving before the end of Fall.

James, that splitter looks great. Can't wait to see the car when I get home.
Steve, I hope your recovery time is short. In the interest of helping that along, and since we all know laughter is the best medicine, I'll just leave this here:

James, Mike - thanks for the thoughts. I'm up and about and actually started up the 8 yesterday. I could here it complaining that I wasn't driving it enough but it warmed up to the fact that I'll be able to drive sometime this week.
James, splitter rocks! Really looks great.
Looked at a Fisker Karma over at Kings Porsche/Fisker dealership. Nice looking car. Don't know why anyone would buy one.
Mike, Mazda has a 2013 MX-5 Club Edition out. Kings has a pearl white one with black top and gunmetal wheels. Looked nice, but $29K is a bit steep.

I have seen pictures of the Club Edition. Nice car, but not for that price. Hell I paid less for my Speed6 brand new. Although by the time I'm done with it I might have close to that in mine (ok, not really or my wife would kill me).
so, who's coming on Sunday?
I'm thinking about start working on my car around 10 or 11.
if anyone could give me a hands, or just simply want to join for hotdogs, burger and beer, or to work on your own ride, please come over!
let me know so that I know how much food I should get.

btw, thanks for the Brake Cube advice. I got one at sears. (just happened to saw it when i was shopping for something else).
I'm sending you a PM with my address.
no worry about when to arrive. I'll be waiting for you with food and drink!
Watching 5th Gear on Velocity. New 911 is growing on me. Maybe if I sell my 8, the Miata, and the wife, I can buy one. Anyone want a lightly used wife?

if you don't want us to share your post with your wife, buy each of us on this thread new 911!
I can believe the bearings are on back order with the rate they go through them, lol.
Hell, sense your talking about dropping north of $100k on a Porsche, just spend some more and buy this one. Guaranteed you won't lose almost $30k driving off the lot in it like a new one, and if you can't get used to the BFW, you can sell the whole car to me at a reduced cost, I'm sure I'd find a way to pay for it

A Cayman would be more to my liking. I don't see it happening for years. By then, I'll be driving a Prius.
So I was standing on my friends porch last night enjoying the party breaking in his new house when I watch a car drive up the street turn around, swipe my front left fender and then speed off. Angry as hell today.
