I usually go almost every weekend year round and in the beater to boot. It's a great atmosphere and some serious car guys show up. The best part is that there isn't much attitude and everyone is just a gear head there to be a gear head.

She doesn't have to work Saturday, so we'll be there.

Thanks to those who suggested Kings Mazda. So far they been very friendly. They called today that 5th and 6th gear synchros need replaced. Also told me that if I wanted high performance transmission oil, I just needed to drop some off. So I messaged Fuz to double check what was popular. Decided to go with Redline MT90.

After a few phone calls, I found a dealer in West Chester/Mason area called Continental Motorsports. Drove over to their garage, which they were working on some small formula cars, and picked up a couple of quarts for $12.95 /each. They had cases of redline branded fluids on the shelf.

So I dropped into Kings and was able to meet the tech working on my car and get a nice look at the transmission. A couple other guys walked over, including a mx5 owner and said he uses the mt90 in his car as well. Should have her back tomorrow evening. Probably make it to the meet on Saturday for a little bit. Sorry for the long winded story, hope no one fell asleep while reading.

Also spotted a bb rx8 at Cincinnati Pool in evendale on my way home. Only thing I noticed is it had smoked lenses on the taillights.

The fender roller won't be here Weds-Thurs of next week. I will be drilling all next weekend with the Reserves so it will be available if anyone needs to borrow it.

Mine (yours) are going on Saturday Moete. I can't wait.

Allen, Kings rules (pun intended). Did you see Cheryl the service advisor? She and Scott are the best. Great that you're getting two new syncros.

Anyone want to take bets to guess when the wife will realize the car is lower? I doubt she'll know since the Miata is way lower than the 8 getting into it.

I think I have tacit approval to get the new rims. I never fully explained what my "idea" was but since she's going to Italy in July for a convention and taking a tour of Rome and Tuscany before it, I think I have some bucks to spend since I'm not going. Who knows what else I may do with it. Two weeks alone could really get me into trouble.

Yeah, I'm assuming Cheryl sits directly next to Scott? I was talking to them both quite a bit. Carl is the one working on my 8.

Scott is awesome and the techs are pretty good - they just hate to see me coming, lol - they know it will be a huge project whenever I stop in. Taking them food helps I find

Unless your wife is a ding bat she should notice within 2 days is my bet OR the very first time she goes to get in and out.

Fuel Saturday hey? My rims are looking like crap so they are getting painted next weekend but I might show my face if you promise to not make fun of them I need to replace three light though so we shall see.

Doing the springs after Cars and Coffe Saturday Moete.

I've managed to strain an ab muscle or something, but hopefully will be mostly recovered by Saturday. If not, it will probably slow me down, but we'll still get it done. It's not what i would consider anything serious.

If anyone is interested in helping, a couple extra hands wouldn't hurt though.

Is Carl the one that owns the Speed I wonder? He is pretty good - so are you picking her up from King's tomorrow then? I should stop by and see them, it's been like a month since I was in, might be a record for me. My warranty is almost expired so if something is going to die it better hurry the heck up.

You're more than welcome man. I'm guessing we'll be back at the house around 12/12:30.

Carl has the Spd3. I was talking to him and Scott when I picked up the CX-7 the other day. Cheryl is the first desk and Scott's the middle desk. Cheryl's great even though she's a Pittsburg Steelers fan.

Allen, make sure they give you the little bag of treats they normally leave in your car after service.

Futz, hope you are doing OK. Let me know if you want to hold off a weekend. No big deal if you're in pain. I'll bring beer just in case (for the pain).

I love help. The more the merrier. It's fun to have people over for this stuff.

My abs are much better today after a good night's sleep that didn't involve tossing and turning. Not 100% but better. We're still on for tomorrow, especially with the help offers from the guys.

Thanks dudes.

Hopefully with the help you won't have to do as much, I broke a rib about a month ago, that pain in the middle sucks.

That's what i'm thinking. It's not bad at all, i've been hurt way worse, but with you guys all willing to help, why push it. I'll just drink beer and yell out directions.

Speaking of beer, you can bring some if you want Steve, but i have some at the house from last time still.

I'm a beer snob, but i'll really drink anything that doesn't have the words Natural, Old Milwaukee, Ice, Hudy, Burger, Schlitz, or Rolling in the name.

I'm really not picky though.

Bring whatever you'd drink yourself.
