Most people that get schooled are the ones driving Accords and Camry's. You know the ones. Factory "appearance package" tinted windows guys that drive in and out of traffic like they are in an Elise. Scared the crap out of an Accord driver this morning that decided he wanted to cut me off, TWICE. Lucky for me, I was entering the tunnel on 71 right past U.S. Bank arena. Nothing like the sound of an uncorked Rotary at 9500 RPM in a tunnel. He took the fast lane to pursue. Had to teach that lesson, I couldn't resist. Had to roll down the windows as I ran up the RPM's SWEET!

Sorry for the long story, Chief's comment just reminded me of it. LOL

I know, everyone is probably getting tired of my commenting about schooling Camrys in the Speed, but it is just such an ego boost knowing I can drive better than they think they can (and yes, my head can fit through doors just fine). The wife generally gets the Honda boys wanting to run her in the Speed, she hasn't said anything about anyone trying to race her in the 8 (she's probably always moving too fast!).

Accords and Camrys are crap. Fleet vehicles and people who want to make a safe purchase. That's why I sold my 99 Acura CL since it looked good, but absolutely no performance.

2 days and counting to getting a rim job. (that's something RotaryKytten would say)

Mike, got your message. Have fun in Spain. Visit a topless beach or two.

James, how's the bruise? I should put a plaque on my car in honor of your sacrifice.

Pics of that rim job or it didn't happen Steve

I too enjoy the accords and camrys and that 71 tunnel is indeed a great hall for the Wankel to yodel in

Truva, we were directing our disdain towards those who wanted a Corvette or similar but had to get a sedan. However they still think they have a hot fast car and try to prove it towards anything that they feel is beneath them. Unfortunately for them, they are usually oblivious to reality and so it is up to us to teach them the error of their ways.

No nude beaches for me. Wouldn't have any time off, it's cold this time of year in NW Spain, and just this evening they moved the yard period back so I'll be doing another two cargoes (looks like) before getting off. On the plus side this should mean I'll get a complete three months on board so I'll be able to play when I get home. Don't worry, I won't ask anyone to help me replace the suspension on the 8, or the Speed, or install the new 'charger on the Miata. Anyone is welcome to watch though (I draw the line at supervision!).

This time of year the only thing nice is the Southern Coast of Spain. Cartagena is nice as well as Palma. Last time I was there, I was in Palma. Lots of Nudies on the beaches there. Unfortunately, lots of manthongs as well.

I'm good at supervising. Just ask James and Kevin. I did remove and replace the tires and torque the lug nuts down. Also jacked the car up while Kevin slid under to place the jack stands.

Tomorrow AM I'm throwing the summers and stockers on before getting the new rims installed. I have to call around. Apparently Performance Alignment has an older tire mounter. My friend with the S2000CR said they scratched one of his wheels and had to find another place to mount them.

One day to rim job. Starting to sport some wood thinking about the Raijins.

Worn by fat old men (not me though).

The wifey and I stumbled upon a nude beach in St Georges Virgin Islands (we went there to get her refurbished) and even though there was a good looking German couple there nude, an old guy came walking towards us and his ***** probably hung down to his knees. I tried not to look but it was one funny sight. Wife wanted to get out of there ASAP.

Hopefully I get out of Rochester and back home via Chicago without delays tonight. So far, everything is on time.

...yeah I just steered clear of the beaches and headed to a bar. Me and a buddy met a couple girls from Birmingham, England and basically drank with them for 3 days, then got in trouble for not coming back to the boat and staying out all night on Cinderella liberty... ahh... the Navy

I can help you put the coilovers on the 8, because you have something I want

Yeah, I know. First thing I have to see if the springs are compressed at all, if they aren't then I have to buy the next softer set (BC tells me the shocks can handle that without revalving). That might take a little time. I am going to see if the wife wants to keep the wheels that are on there now, if so then I'm getting her some S-Drives and having the Advans put on the stock 8 wheels then putting those on the Speed. Not quite what I want style-wise but I want to use those tires! I'm tempted to keep the rotor centercaps in, so many people think anything Mazda makes has a rotary it isn't even funny.

They're here!

And installed. Had them installed by Tire Discounters on Rt 48/22 by Eric, the sales manager there. He has a Speed 3, so another Mazda owner took care of me. Guys at the shop loved the look. Now I need some wider tires for the 8.5" rims. I'll wait until the Bridgestone's wear out in about another 10K miles.

Look at this Bad *** 8. Forgive me for the lousy iPhone photos. I may take some more tomorrow if I go down to Fuel. Most likely about 10-10:30 or so.

Going out to buy some droopy pants and a subwoofer to play some rap, yo.

A bit much, yeah. Not sure I like that but they seem to run true.

James, you were right. The black looks great against the silver. The guys at Tire Discounters all said it was a good choice.

When the wifey goes off to Italy for two weeks, maybe that cat back can magically appear. That or run over a raccoon like Wendy did.

The wheels look great. You're fueling my motivation to invest in some better wheels this summer. I've been wanting those gunmetal ekm3's for over a year now....

Those do look nice Steve, WAY better than if you had just had the others painted man, gratz on the great rim job. I can arrange for you to hit a raccoon if you'd like

Here is a rough fit of my new wing....it still needs to be finished and clear coated then wet sanded but I think I will like it. I pulled the stocks off today and put the winters back on so I could have my rims permanently painted red - I decided to commit to the red and the Plast Dip won't last I might add Mike from the RX7 club is the greatest thing to stumble into my life , my car is in such great shape these days, I just might keep him, lol. I changed my oil and front brakes today too, trying to prep for DGRR just a few weeks away!

Nice Rotary Kitten, is that an EVO VIII wing? Looks like it. Kinda reminds me of the R-magic wing. What's next for Lucy, body kit now.

Nice wheels Steve, very complimentary. Now if you don't want people to know how old you are, remove the bra snaps from inside your wheel wells.

Kytten, I'll see your raccoon and raise you a deer. Those things are all over where I live.

Chief, I need the support. It's like a truss.

Shot these on the way home from Fuel. Next thing is I'm going to matte black the chrome bits on the front end by the fogs. I probably can't remove the Mazda emblem without messing up the clear bra material.
