We have that set, but it is properly in red. We were in the market for a new set and I showed her that and said how cool it was they had rotor shaped doors. After looking at the features she said let's do it. Trust me, when the washer is on spin (especially with something heavy like jeans in) it has plenty of torque! I wish I could get her to stop putting plants etc on top of it as they migrate towards each other and then I have to listen to clinking noises.
This is the same woman who a couple of years previous told me to buy a rotor shaped glass top table to use in the kitchen. I love my wife.

Are most of you not running a front license plate? I think I'd be asking for trouble, especially Blue Ash police running around, if I didn't run a front plate. I think it completely ruins the look of the front end. I am considering ordering a custom "euro-style" plate for the front. http://www.licenseplates.tv/ohio_euro_plate_7078.html

I've lived in Meriemont, and now Milford since then and regularly drive through Terrace Park and Newtown to make sure i can pass all the strickt police forces and I've haven't had any issues.
It's a fix-it ticket if they give you one at all for the first offense and a ~$60 fine if they want to give you one after multiple warnings.
I'm pretty sure that the euro plates aren't legal plates unfortunately and they'd probably draw more attention.

I live in KY so I'm not exactly sure, but a few of my buddies in OH tell me that it's not too much of a problem as long as you're pretty close to the KY border.
You COULD zip tie it to your passenger sin visor like a few of my buddies do

^^ That's technically illegal too. It has to be mounted to the front bumper to be considered legal.
I did a lot of research on ways to get around it. I just gave up and stuck with not caring and not running one.

I hate those stupid laws, though, I didn't know the sun visor thing is illegal lol
If a bumper doesn't have a mounting bracket for one, sometimes you have to drill a hole in the bumper to put one one.
Ruins the entire look of the car >.>

I don't know that they really pull people over for it alone. Usually they'll use little things like that as probable cause to pull someone over if they feel the car or driver is suspicious.

I live up in oxford, and know more than a couple people who got ticket just parking on the street... though it was more than 5 years ago, but enough to make me paranoia....
I put the smoked cover hoping it blends in to the grill as much as it can...

I don't have Front Plates and neither does my friend.
We both live two blocks from the Blue Ash Police Station. They see us every day. I did get pulled over on 71 near Norwood Exchange and the State Trooper did not mention my lack of plate - he was Running Laser.
Ohio Law says you have to have a Front Liscense Plate
I thought about the "Hide Liscense Plate" gadget, but I will wait until I spend money in Tickets before I do..

@Truva, I don't know how much MPG a turbo gets, because I don't have one... but the guy who started this thread used to have the Greddy on his. Moete87 might want to chime in, because he still talks to him. If I lived in Ohio and that may be a possibility in the future, I would run something like this. With the large opening I'll have, my mesh grill is way back so I could tilt it back farther than this.

My front plate's in the trunk wedged between the fender well and the flat tire kit. Somewhere in the garage is my front bracket. King's wanted to know if I wanted to have the front bracket mounted when I bought the car and I told them drill, I drill them. I don't have plates on my Miata either.
Only thing I'd worry about is a DUI checkpoint where they're just itching to find something to ding you with.

I bought the Speed at Sweeney's and I told them not to drill/install the front bracket. I was afraid it would happen anyway (like, when you get fast food and they put cheese on the hamburger because "everyone" gets it like that) but thankfully they didn't. I took the 8's off when we got it home, it's floating around in the garage somewhere if someone wants it. The Miata has always been a Southern car so it never got done.

I run a front plate on my car because I have been ticketed for it in the past. (BTW it's a $150 fine in Warren Co.) On the up side, when I was given the ticket for no front plate I was actually stopped for speeding, 62 in a 40mph zone. So the cop was nice enough to stick me with the equipment violation instead of the speeding ticket, because I had a clean driving record. I figured the least I could do was put the front plate back on.
