I just put a new stereo in the Explorer. A Pioneer CD/receiver, 200 watts, with iPod input. Sounds pretty good, better than the old Motorola stock AM/FM/Cassette, which was dying anyway. And the Pioneer has a detachable face-plate, to deter theft. Of course, it took me like half an hour to figure out how to set the clock, lol! It's no Bose system, but it's good enough for the old Ford.

 

Actually I washed the car today, So the bath is for me! haha

 

Added Maul to the list. You should have a good time. I hope Jethro decides to come. He can always claim he is just visiting his brother

 

I wish I had the funds to go, any want to contribute to the Raleigh Vegas fund? haha

 

me and my wife might try to make the trip.. I Told her about it and she was super excited for some weird reason haha.

I was working in the asparagus bed in shirtsleeves yesterday. Quite a change today.

That was a pretty good meet on Saturday, JT, snowboard, Tim, Darius you missed out. There were some sick 7's an fb, few fc's couple fd's the 3 rotor. It was great. They wings were not so awesome I thought but it the first place I've been in Utah that carries Land Shark beer.

 

yeah, I was at work at 630am and didnt get home untill almost 11pm so that meet wasnt going to happen haha.

 

Jeez, that's a long workday especially for the weekend.

 

Sorry I missed it, family stuff. I've seen the 3 rotor a few times now. I asked him how much he had in the car, he said something and his wife said double that number, lol. Then I asked him what advice he'd give to someone esle thinking about the conversion, and he said "DON'T"!

It was all stock except the exhaust, and was looking sweet for an '83

Man, I love those FB's. I miss my '80 so bad. Looks like it was quite the event. I noticed Shep's house in there. Did you start there, or just stop-by? Did you ever play cards?

A few guys went and played cards we ditched out lol Was a small cruize before went up immigration and down parleys then a few guys stopped at sheps for a little. . . Good meet

 

yeah dish doesnt care what day of the week it is, you work till your done haha.. good news is i got a good amount of over time so im not complaining., I also found out that 04 06 and 08 cars are exempt from emissions and inspections this year so I didnt have do to anything, just went to the dmv and got my tags

Yep, it's only every other year until your car is six years old. I was off the hook last year but had to get emissions tested this year, no big deal. Passed easily.
Next year I get to take a pass again.

 

my tint was my only issue, everything else would have passed.

it costed like 154 for the tags. How strict are they about the front plate, i refuse to add holes to my bumper for the front plate.

 

I would love to be able to ziptie it to the grill or something but I dont want to block the radiator obviously so i think its going to have a home in the trunk or something haha
