WBO2 results

If anyone has the Interceptor X and the WBO2 sensor from mazsport.
I was wondering if there is a way to turn off and on the AFR metering.
I know that pressing the "caps lock" key will bring up the display.
On mine though its doesnt read the afr's just stays at 19.9.
So is the another key that starts and stops the metering of the afr.
Im not necessarily talking about data logging the afr's, or is datalogging the only
way to see the AFR value change on the display. Thanks for the help.

i'm having the same 19.9 issue. i can't get it to output the AFR with the WB02 connected. It just reads 19.9.

Before when i had it directly wired ot the battery it read fine. I disconnected that a while ago because it drained the battery. Now i have it spliced into the ignition switch - and its just giving me 19.9. If i completely disconnect it, it gives me 10.3 (constant). So i know its getting power and recognizing something... because now its giving me 19.9 instead of 10.3.

any suggestions?

BUMPING - i checked last night and it still read 19.9.

I'm giong to get up early tomorrow and take a look at all the connections in the day time. This is getting pretty frustrating. I only have about 400 miles on the car since installing it, so I'm really hoping its not a bad sensor already.

Mine was working fine, but its not now. The only thing i changed was...
Originally i had it directly connected to the battery, and that was good and it worked, but it drained the battery, so i had to change it up.

I have my Interceptor X power tapped to my ignition power line, and that worked fine... so i tapped the WBO2 to that line as well... and now its not working.

I'm going to disconnect that tomorrow and try retapping it to the battery to see if it works again. If it does i need to find a new line to tap this too. I figured the Ignition switch would of been good enough. Also, if it does work with the battery connection, i may look into leaving it connected to the battery via an on/off switch. So i can enable it only when i am using the Wide Band - otherwise it will remain disconnected and hence no battery drain. I'll report back tomorrow.

Oh Sorry - i was sidetracked with work/school/female nonsense for a while. I'll try to take a look at it this weekend.

Problem is the cord now is too short to reach the battery, so i'm gonna have to pick up something to extend it.

It wouldnt of been a hassle if i didnt cut the cord short. Note to self: dont cut cord lengths until after testing to see everything is working.

Ok - i just reconnected the WB02 Module directly to the battery - and its still giving me a 19.9 reading.

I'll call scott tomorrow to see what we can do from here.

Just found this online -

If i power up the ignition, let the pump prime the system and the ECU do it's 'power-up quirt' thing, then the sensor usually warms up (with abuut 20 flashes of it's indicator light) then we'r accurate from there on.

I've sorted out the power supply problems to it (previous connection was flakey when the indicators were on) and mechanically, all electrical connections are now firm and tight... but the random non-workingness is irritating as i want to tune the thing asap so i can put it on a dyno and clean up the tune.

Anyone else had any experiences with this sensor/controller?

tia,
Charles
I think its time to go for a drive. I'll report back with the results.

EDIT: I just got back home from driving around for over an hour - still 19.9

after taking it off the car again, i think i found the problem. It may not be the sensor, but the wires. They looked burnt....

You take a look at yours?
