Benny,
The Interceptor X - with just one map... is mapped out for all amounts of boost. If you switch between high and low boost, you dont need to switch maps.
The only reason i can see for having a second map would be for a "Pump Gas Tune" and "Race Gas Tune"

Meh - the speed adjusting wasnt a factor for me. I like how raw, simple, and efficient the standard profec b is.
Big problem with the Profec B Type II (Digital) is that its a pain to set each level. Have to make 3 pulls with the car, to get it to stick. I know several tuners who won't touch a car with a Type II. With the analog you just turn the **** and your done.

The leaner you go on fuel, the more power you make, so your conservative map would be richer. More fuel = safer.

Yeah, those would probably be the same maps. For cruising, you'd keep your out of boost lean for gas mileage and your in boost rich for safety. You can have multiple boost settings for track/street use or multiple maps for pump gas/race gas. The boost settings change on the fly requires a boost controller. The gas switch requires you to stop and refuel anyway so plenty of time to switch maps.
