I dont think anyone asked this but are the solid mounts lighter than the stock mounts?

I'm going weight savings crazy these days...yes I know it won't be much but a pound is a pound and it will add up...

Hi,
Im from Hong Kong. Do you ship oversea? What would be the cost? Also, would it come from any instruction for installation? Is it easy to change on my own with just some simple tools I have? One more, do I need to remove the old bad dying oem mounts? Thanks alot.

Yes we do ship oversea. Simple hand tools and a floor jack are all that is required. Our mounts completely replace the factory mounts on both sides. pm sent

I would like everyone to know that mazsport is currently having issues with their dsl or internet connection so if anyone is not getting a response it is because of this issue. It should be resolved by Wednesday 1/16/07

i have this installed this today and hontestly. I think I've made a huge mistake in buying this. It practially transfer ALL vibration to my chassis. Everything in my car shake like hell and after an hour of testing it. I want to throw up. I will need to remove and reinstall the old one on tomorrow. install and remove costed me US$200.00. The oem include installation by the dealer w/6 months warranty is only US$380.00. $110 cheaper..... My bad....... It should be for "RACE TRACK" only.

Hi Patrick, I think you'll need the WR engine damper instead of the engine mount.

Any feedback from the rest of the guys who installed this mount? My mounts had just arrived and now I'm having 2nd thoughts about installing them...Scott, do you allow returns?

Hey Bem,

How are you? yea, i've placed the order of the WR engine damper but they are back order. Heard that they discountiued the damper for rx8. I now need to put the old one back on and order the oem one from mazda.

Anyway, it's my bad that I didnt read thru all before I've placed the order...........

So, I take it no one read up about these kind of things here before they sent cash?

Um yeah guys. Their motor mounts are almost solid and designed for use with their turbo kits. They are definitely not intended to make the engine smoother.

I knew the motor mounts would cause increased vibration. I was not aware of the extent that vibration would increase. It has, at least for me, increased the ride harshness to the point where it isn't tolerable as a daily driver. So the stock mounts are going back in.

I have a set of barely used Mazsport motor mounts that will go for sale soon. PM if interested.
