Data cable from Interceptor X

Data cable from Interceptor X

Am I the only person who has bought the Interceptor who does not have a serial port on my lap top. I only have USB ports, how do I connect the data wire from the Interceptor ?

You'll need a serial to usb cable , Circuit City has some. That's what everybody else is using

Or buy a PCMIA - serial adapter....more expensive but works better usually

the USB to Serial works fine with the interceptor

the USB to Serial works fine with the interceptor. Make sure you assign the adapter com 1 or com 2 . I am using one on a DELL 700M laptop

I got the USB to Serial adapter, now I am trying to figure out how to assign com 1 or 2 to the USB port on the lap top.
