Another NA thread....

Any ideas as to how much rwhp one would expect to put down with the mazsport ecu on a NA 8 equipped with cat back exhaust, midpipe, cai, and UR pullies?

Does a pre-tuned map exist for the above mods that could be used as a starting point for a better tune?

I'm considering making the purchase to compliment my other mods and having everything tuned by Steve Kan when he comes to Atlanta in May.....that's if there's no wait on the ecu.

You can thank me later...
Steve is tuning my car on saturday. By the time he gets to you... he'll have first hand experience with the EMS.

In answer to your question. I'm sure Scott can create a safe pre-tuned map with the unit... before steve gets to it.

I'll go ahead and thank you now! I can't wait to see your results. Will you have a baseline for comparison purposes?

I had 240 whp with the emanage.
I dont have a baseline to compare with the interceptor tho.

-275 whp with the base interceptor map, boost controller off, and a stock midpipe

-276 at 9 psi lol

(where peak HP is made, the boost is already falling off so increasing it doesn't effect peak HP numbers hardly at all. look at my dyno and you'll see what i mean http://home.cfl.rr.com/epitrochoid/rx8dyno.jpg)

Peak power is not much different because we running out of turbo and the customer said he was happy. Look at the torque difference at 3600rpm. Yes you are seeing the graph right, ~215rwtq @ 3600rpm and 225rwtq at 4500rpm it usually has a habit of making the TCS light flash. Scott

Hello guys, If you would like to setup a tuning session I could be convinced to make a trip to Texas. Looks like California later this month, so perhaps in June? Let me know if you are interested or post somthing in the tuning sessions section of Major Horspower Upgrades. Thanks,Scott
