Interceptor installed, and working
I think it could be useful for everyone to have in a single thread, the people who have installed an Interceptor-X in an RX-8 and is fully operative.
This means that presently only a couple of cars might be on the list, but I am sure the list will keep on growing fast in the near future.
For turbocharged, N/A cars the idea is to write the configuration of the car, and wheather possible, what you were getting before and after the interceptor X.
Example:
"nick77" : greddy turbo, rev-i intake, no cat, RB exhaust catback. Before N/A 185 whp, after 275 whp, no ping at all, excellent drivability. smooth idle.

Good news!
I installed the my Interceptor on Wednesday, and have had no major problems.
The backfiring is gone, the fan going off everytime the engine stops is gone, and the car pulls more smooth all the way up to redline (in the gears that I have tested anyway...2nd and 3rd). I havent noticed any ping.
I do have a "system too rich" cel, and I still need to tweak the Water and Cranking maps for cold starts, but I'm am very pleased with this unit overall.
Scott has been extremely helpful in getting me on my way as well.
I hope to Dyno tune it this week and have some numbers for everyone. Does anyone else have dyno results yet?
I'm not sure what boost level I'm at as my gauge seems to fluctuate between 5 and 10psi with this new boost controler I have installed (Profec B Spec II) and I can't seem to configure it cosistently (any help is appreciated :-) ). But the LOAD readout from the Interceptor puts me at about 6 or 7psi.

What I don't understand is if the Interceptor is essentially supposed to be a standalone..why would you be have CELS especially from things like running too rich?

because the OEM PCM(ECU) remains in place. the interceptor just takes control of the injectors and coipacks away from it. the PCM cannot be feasibly removed, as it controls traction control, abs, and a host of other features of the car that the majority of owners are not willing to give up (or pay to have removed)

I've had myne in and running for some time now. Runs great, honestly drives like stock. My only problem is cranking when cold. But, that is just a tuning issue. It just takes time to tune it right because I only get one chance each morning to tune that map, plus I'm still learning how to tune.
I put down 287whp at 7psi. I'm at 9psi now, so should be higher.
