4 Water pumps showed up in Sweden to-day. They all looks great after the tripp inspite of high altitude experiance.

It's REALLY easy 'IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING'. I warned people earlier in this thread that this job should be conducted by those who have done several prior. This is not difficult at all, but the repercussions of minor mistakes could be major. You MUST make sure you eliminate air from the system for example; this allows complete filling, without which you could toast your engine (The complete opposite of everyone's intention here).

I think what he meant was that he is looking for a DIY that will tell him how to make sure he properly drains the air out of the system and all those other small but important tasks.

Question: Do the bolts on the water pump need loctite on the threads? Already installed pump by following online service manual. It was an easy install, but someone mentioned about using loctite on the threads, so now I'm concerned because I didn't use any.

manual states: fill coolant reservoir to full line, put radiator cap back on, rev 2500 (constant) rpm for 5 mins, then 3000 (constant) rpm for 5 mins, idle then turn of engine. if coolant falls below full line, fill to full, then repeat process. I had to do it 3 times, then the fluid stayed at the full line. This to properly get the air out of the coolant system (that's what the manual states).
