Long line.
Everybody went driving through the holiday and I took it off.
I think I have about 60 or so to catch up on tonight.

Plus, there are now a bunch of really custom things to slow me down.

When I did my logging, the 4200rpm logs I did when my tach said 4250 and when I downloaded the logs, it said they were done at 4175 or something. Do I need to redo that log?

^^^^ I think so. The idea is for the car to be over 4200. So if you want to be safe do it at 4300 or so. Look at the RPM's in your AP and not on the car since the RPM's on the car are off a bit.

shucks.. MM, I'm gonna have to do the datalogging over once it stops raining. I wish this tach was a bit more accurate, I didn't even think about that the car's tach would be off by that much.

Check your logs if your stft is in open loop (i.e. 0, -0.16) then I think no. If you have something other than open loop then absolutly 100% yes redo

Jeff maybe to avoid these problems you should edit your directions insted of 4,200 just move them up to where they will definatly be in open loop 4,500 or so and then there is no excuse??

300 rpms is what 3 mph different if that. I don't think speed has much to do with the log but the distance traveled over 45 sec will cause problems with constancy in flat roads and traffic.
There is only one road here that I can do my cruise logs on and it's barely long enough. Welcome to the hills of Tennessee.

Yeah I commented on the rpm issue a few pages back, I redid them while looking at the rpm on the AP. As Jeff mentioned it's normal that it's 300rpm off.

Speedwise, luckily there's a long stretch of rural roads not long from here that I could do the WOT in 2nd - 3rd on. Don't like doing that on the freeway :P Max 90km/h all over my area. And probably a LOT worse penalties and fines than you guys.

My STFT is -0.16 the whole way, and my LTFT is at 3.74.

There also aren't many long flat roads around here, unless you count the gsp or the turnpike, or 195, none of which I would really call FLAT. Those roads have more holes than pavement, it seems.

You nailed it. Don't worry.

The tach issue is a problem.
The logging issue is a problem.
I feel bad for, essentially, asking people to break the law in order to get the data I need.

I don't think you can name 1 person who drives a car that has NEVER gone over the speed limit.. so in essence, we are all breaking the law
I also think there would be alot of dead carbonized rx8s out there!

Yeah, it's not that I never floor it in 3rd gear otherwise, but if you actually plan it as much as when logging it would feel very fucked up if you got stopped doing it, especially with something plugged in under the dashboard and all

The logging is a bit weird all in all, feels like I'm doing Jeff a favour, doing stuff in the car and sending him logs, while HE is actually doing stuff for ME :P It's working very nice now with the AP logs and all, interesting to look at, I get more feel for how the car works that way.

I do get a fair bit of that.
There are quite a few customers that seem put-off by the fact that they need to do anything at all to get this to work.

To me doing stuff on the car is half the fun. Its no fun to say you got all this on your car and you did nothing but pay for it. I love modding it and installing stuff. Of course if I cant do something then ill ask for help.

I wish I could tune it myself but since I cant then thats where Jeff comes in hehe

That is the essence of it.
I don't understand people that just want to write a check and pick up the car later.
I mean, there are all kinds of enthusiasts and not all want to (or can) get their hands dirty.
I just don't understand why you would bother, though.
