Nope... Even finding a flat stretch long enough could be a problem in my craptastic city.

You said this is optional correct? So, if I can not to participate you will just continue to calibrate the remaining logs in your queue the old way correct? I will not be able to participate in this session because I am out of town for spring break but, I should be pretty close to the front of the line so, I do not mind waiting a little longer if you are going to continue to calibrate the old way as well.

As we have already discussed a couple of months ago it is impossible to properly perform that kind of datalogs without being rear ended.

Pardon my interruption, but doesn't jeff say to do the logging on an empty stretch of street, how can you be rear ended if its just you?

bse50, I can't believe there isn't some nice secundary road close to Rome, at least on my wife's region (Piamonte) there are dozens and all in a wonderful shape!

PS: Any report on how the first e-tuning-by-gtalk day is going? Did already MazdaManiac hammered the computer when the 342'th chat window popped up?

Rome is built on a very unflat area, the only "flat" roads are toll roads with speed limits of 130km\h. Doing the datalogs means to spend some time slowing down in 2nd gear to around 50km\h with oncoming traffic at around 120km\h.
I have done them but it's risky so i'd rather avoid it the next times.

I see. Your best bet could be a service way paralell to the highway (here in Spain they are limited to 60 kms/h but most people goes at 100 kms/h+

So it is true that someone in italy goes by the speed limit? I tought it was an urban legend

Yes. Everyone in the land that invented the "Italian Supercar" strictly adheres to the speed limit at all times.

Planning on sending my original logs over to MM shortly. I think it opens up for us on the east cost in an hour?

I got that feeling that this would be like an IRC group chat.

I'm not a Google Talk expert but I do not see option for a group chat.

I'm guessing it will only be a one on one chat with Jeff?

Yes, it should be 1 on 1, which is a good thing I imagine. Helps keep him straight, avoids mass confusion when he responds to someone and others think he is responding to them, etc...

Not to mention file transfer nightmare.

Excellent idea.

Jeff, I highly recommend enforcing this if it makes sense to you as well

No semi's, but a turtle or two. Plus a Pruis and a Crossfire.
