Warning, stay away from Service King in Richardson

About 6 months ago, I got hit in my parking garage at work. The damage was minor enough to drive the car for 6 months, but major enough to warrant a few days repair..

So I finally get an opportunity to get it fixed, I'm in florida for a full week (same week as TS Fay), and I drop off my car at SK Richardson (which I just found out is not one of Geico's guaranteed shops). They say a week, but maybe longer, original estimate was 2-3 days. Just before I get the car back, the service manager calls me and tells me my car is almost done but I have a headlight out (Xenon low beam). He tells me they can fix it, but i'll have to pay for it and it'll be expensive because they have to remove the front bumper (which they actually don't). So I tell them I'll do it myself.

I'm in the process of doing this now and I take off the cap and the cable connecting the bulb just falls out. There's no bulb in there at all. Those ******* stole the damn bulb! Xenon bulbs are between $90 and $130 EACH!

So steer clear of Service King in Richardson.
I've talked to Geico, and they can't do anything since it's not one of their guaranteed shops..
I called that service king but they're already closed for the day. I'll be calling them first thing in the morning to ream them good.
I doubt I'll get anything out of them, but I'll make sure you're all aware to stay the **** away from that location.

did you give them a ring and ask them where the f^&k your bulb went?

then just kick up a stink and see if they do anything about it

I wouldn't leave the shop or stop calling till I had two new free bulbs in my hand

well, we'll see. interestingly enough, a few days ago i got a survey form from some district manager asking about the service manager who worked my claim. I hadn't filled it out yet (they put my rear bumper back on slightly crooked too) but now it just got interesting.

I do hope it works out for you, I hate when a shop does something shady like that. Even if it was just a mistake the chances of it being found.. and not having oil all over it are slim

I meant oil from touching with an ungloved hand.
