Ok. Here's the plan. Meet in the TGIFridays parking lot on 61st and memorial at 9 pm.

 

so my 8 keeps looseing her coolant. im not 100% on whats going on.. but its like every 3 days it will be on L or way below. ill fill it back up to F but it some how vanishes again. i dont see any under the car or on anything but i can smell coolant real strong. but the engine does run hot so idk if its all evaperating before i can catch it on anything.. but mazda says they will haft to charge me $69.00 just to check it out. so idk what to do or whats going on..

 

Check your oil and see if there is antifreezing it

 

No antifreeze in oil. Car runs great! No performance issues at all. And car seems to run a lil warmer than normal. but since the gauges are on a on/off switch kinda hard to tell the temp. Did notice today behind the coolant res (between it and battery box) Looks like dried up coolant kinda. Almost like a very thin dusty toothpaste. Not sure whats going on now. Taking her car in tmrw at 930AM to nelson on memorial. So if anyone in that neighborhood, drop in and say hey. Im sure I will be there a lil while. Will be posting back with results. Hope its just a pin hole in hose or sumthin.

 

Oh and BTW we are going out to the drangs sat night. Prolly be there around 10pm is anyone is up for joining us come on out. Might be in my truck due to coolant issue on car. Unless we get fixed today But hey we will be there.

Well it was only a thermo gasket leaking. cvered under warranty. so we should be good to go. ran pressure test on it and tested ok. So we will prolly be taking 8 to drags. and we hope to you there Jim and anyone else that wanna come.

 

So... Talked with Bryan at BNR today... They are still waiting on a bearing assembly thingy. I guess the maker is not being very forthcoming with the part.... I want my car back sooo much. Oh well I guess I'll just keep accumulating more things to install when I get it back.

 

I would join you but I am going to take the adventure this weekend of tearing my engine apart and cleaning my SSV valve...nervous but I trust myself better than Mazda and their 800 bucks they want to do it

 

When are you doing the tear down?

 

It's going to take an entire weekend to install parts, if you keep gathering stuff That's ok though. It's not like we haven't done it before.

 

same here jimmy!!!!!!!!!! except aparently mazda cant get this coolant thing figured out.. im still looseing coolant.. i can smell it still... i now can find wet marks on my skid plates and its wet down in there and all around under it.. im soo lost.. im calling mazda again in the morning to see once again what were going to do about this situation.... ugh!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like we are going to be doing mods to Brannon's car next sat at the speed shop. We can make a day of this I you guys want to. I know autumn would like some a/c.

Yes sir! I am SO ready man! Tein Springs, Koni Yellow Shocks, Evo-r Endlinks, AEM Cold Air Intake, Mishimoto Transmission Cooler, Screens for the bumper...yeah I think that is it lol. Already did my catch can, scangaugeII, Calipers in green and rotor pro rotors and pads with hats painted to match the calipers Roxy is gonna look like a whole new car!

 

Congrats on getting the turbo back man!!! I am thinking as soon as we get your car back together, we all hit the road for a meet!!! I am SO ready to do some driving!!! I would like to hit Dallas area and hit up a weekend car show or something and chill with everyone down there. Load up the Tulsa crew and head down

 

James you should definitely bring your suspension parts with you. If Brannons car goes together easily, we could possibly do yours as well

 

Sure, I'll bring it all! Carlos said he is going to start in on it tomorrow, so hoping he gets it all together by Thursday. Running the water cooling crap doesn't seem to hard, and I made sure to give him as much info on it as I could. I want my car!

I have everything being here no later than Friday except the Evo-R endlinks. I am still trying to get a hold of them. I have emailed them and called multiple times but no response. They better have them here by Friday or I am going to be pissed!!! I ordered them last Wednesday and I would think that having them here this Friday at the latest wouldnt be a hard task! I am going to keep trying to call them today. Once those come in we are ready for my suspension. The shocks and sways are supposed to arrive today or tomorrow. As for the AEM Cold Air, I am calling them today as well to see when it is supposed to be here. If it doesnt make it in time, that is ok, I can do that one at my house

 

ugh... im going to lite my 8 on fire!!!!she is pissing me off!!!!!! 1st. she wont hold coolant they swore they fixed that she lost coolant a week later. they said there was a air bubble in the system that burped itself. well isnt that their job to belch the system.. i mean r u going to do and oil change and put the oil in the car and call it good with out starting it and then turning it back off??? idiots! god i HATE mazda they all should burn n helll... well nw the car is building to much pressure. i took it back up to them they said they looked at it and well... its fine.. the car after like 30min of driveing will build pressure all the way to the top spit it out of the over flow and the cap... i smell it constantly.. i cant use my ac at all that just makes it pressurize even faster... idk wat to do at this point... im going to see carlos this tuesday... hopefully we can get this figured out..
