Hard Start? Like its just not wanting to kick on? I think compression loss usually just kills you're engine power, could be wrong. Did you have your plugs checked when you replaced the coils? I was having issues with high rev power and starting cause 3 of my 4 plugs where like dead.

Do you feel a lose of power when you drive? In the end I have a feeling most people will tell you to get a compression test at Mazda, maybe you will get a free engine!

Jimmy and I just finished putting in my new Tokico D-specs and Tein STechs along with the front Hotchkis Sways... couldn't get the rusty bolt off the back... And I love how it was supposed to be a 4 hour project, ha ha ha , took about 10 and I'm burnt! Yay! and I bottomed out in my driveway!

Hey jenn. I had a k&n typhoon 2 and lost airflow over stock. Next step is checking fuel pressure. If a hard start isn't flooding, you might have fuel delivery issues. Could be starter issue too. You can put an inline fuel pressure guage to check fuel pressure. Haven't heard of many rx8 fuel issues though. Keep us posted!

Hey rotary do you mind if I use your avatar as part the O for the stickers I want to make for
NeoRx club?

Jenifer- you're car should have the upgraded starter since it's an 06. I would defintely check the battery with drastic changes we've had in temp this year. The heat got my battery last year. I put an optima redtop in mine but they are $230 I think.

The inside on that rim it bent as well from when I bought it like that. I do belive that was a sign to just get that rim fixed. Ha it sucks. But I'm glad it did no more damage than wat it did I took that like a truck. Wow. But ne who he said he cld get it fixed all n 1 day. So nxt friday I'm going to BA lol had fun tho!

I believe that all types of freon have been moved to license only. You can check with Autozone and see if they still sell the recharge kits, but last I heard, it was all moving to licensed techs only, which means you gotta know someone or goto a shop.

Be sure to try switching it to RECIRC from Fresh on the console unit. This can help keep it cooler. Fresh air is bringing hot air in from outside trying to cool it. Recirc will take previously cooled air from your cabin into your car, so it will help with the problem until you can get a charge.

hey jen, I actually have been having issues with my ac. all the auto shops in BA carry the R134a recharge kits so that you can do it yourself if it just needs recharging. ND actually had to install a new condenser in mine cause a rock flew in and punctured it. We put grills in the same day so i would not have it happen again (Definitely reccommend putting in a lower front grill if you dont already have one). Anyways, since we put a new condenser in we had to take it to Carlos to have him suck all the air out and recharge it with freon (R134a). Unfortunately for me it is still not working right, the driver side blows hot air and the passenger side blows cold but not real cold. Carlos thinks that their is a flapper issue, so it is in the shop for him to work on tomorrow. If you are going to be in BA tomorrow night, i have a gauge you can borrow to see if your problem is that you are just low on freon. Let me know, I believe Rick has ND's number and mine, so just text me if you are going to be here tomorrow night.

Would any of you guys be up for a trip to San Antonio to run the 3 sisters on Halloween weekend? We could do the run and then the riverwalk. Just make a weekend out of it. We would leave Friday day and come home Sunday.

Wat kinda hood do u have? I want 1 to match my black. I don't want the carbon fiber hood. Right now it's oxidized from the sun I will pay to have it fixed before I traded it off. If ur interested and ur hood would match my car.
