Service in Austin (again :)

Hi all,

seems my last post was kind of hijacked. Can anyone give me some good recommendations on where I should get my 8 serviced (oil changes, ect...)?

I bought in San Antonio but live in Pflugerville. Really want to know if there are some places to avoid and if there are some places with some really good sevice staff.

Thanks, John

dude, I'd try Burnet road Beasley as the south place....hahaha just kidding. Sorry about the Hijack by the way, in all seriousness the Burnet road Beasley has won several awards for their service dept. There are also some places in Georgetown, maybe some other board members have experienced with them? I'll shut up now, good luck on your quest

Sorry about getting things going the wrong way. In Austin, you have a choice of Beasley North, South and Georgetown. All the stores have some very good techs, conversley, they also have some techs that are not so good. I know there have been days when I've brought my wifes 8 in and wish I hadn't. I think your question would be better answered by finding out from other owners who the specific techs are at the different dealerships that have rotary knowledge that have worked on their cars and ask for that tech when you bring the car in.

I live in Pflugerville also.
I do all the maintenance myself but I have had good experiences with Premier Mazda in Georgetown when I've taken it in for recalls/ reflashes.

I've had good luck taking mine to Premier in Georgetown. I make appointments and I'm in and out in under an hour usually.

I purchased my 2004 Rx-8 (which is no longer with me) from Premier Mazda in Georgetown, they serviced it there once. No issues. The shop that serviced it from that point forward was Mazda South (closer to home). They did a great job each and everytime. My 2005 has yet to go in for service (hit 600 miles today), but it will be going back to that dealership when the time comes.
