going to get an rx8 soon and was wandering where all the 8 owners are near me and if there's any car clubs in tulsa?

 

Some of us were just in Tulsa for their OK BBQ and there aren't many Tulsa 8 owners, but there are some in OK. RX7s are more prevalent in your area. Contact David: david@apneablue.com for event and meet info. I know they get together pretty often.

 

I'm in Tulsa. RX-8 scene here is pretty lame, nobody I've seen has mods of any kind, and there doesn't seem to be that "mutual respect and recognition" between rx-8 drivers here that exists in other places (I can't get any RX-8 drivers to wave back to me to save my life). We need to get things turned around up here!

RX-7 people here on the other hand are cool. They dig us pretty well.

Let me know when you get your car, it'd be good to know another driver first hand.

If you get that turned around...please let me know what you did. I'm having the same issue in the shreveport/monore(ALWAZL8) area. It just happened today after i left the dealership

I drive to Tulsa every 6 weeks or so; stay for a few days each time. The last two times, I drove my 8. In all the time I have traveled there, over the past year or so, I have seen one other RX8. I even posted a thread a while ago asking anyone if they wanted to meet up and the only reply was from Daisy telling me about the Rotary BBQ (but I couldn't get there early).

I know it's frustrating, trying to get everyone together. I have seen less than a dozen RX8's here in Memphis and only know two people who own them.
