RX-Club of Houston Meeting - July 13th 2010
Greetings again club,
Summer is just getting warmed up and it's already time for our first official summertime meeting.
Remember daylight lasts well past 8pm, so people tend to hang out and stay a bit later. So plan on coming out and spending some time with your RX-family.
So let us know if your coming and what your bringing. Let's have a little parking lot "show and tell" at this one!
Where: Gabby's BBQ -- 3101 N. Shepherd
When: July 13th 2010 - Parking lot at 6... Dinner at 7:30
See you there!

Sorry you missed it. We did a dozen or more free compression tests at the meeting and gave away some passes for MSR Karting.
If you sign up on the local forum at www.houstonrx8club.com you will get updates via email sent directly to you.
Our next meeting will be on August 10th at Barry's pizza.
Should be 25-30 cars or more. :D

I keep getting these emails for the meet and they seem really tempting. Plus my friends called me up to go to these also.
One day I will come with my friends haha

I work down there at MSR. You've got to come down (to the track) sometime.
I will have more passes this month at the meeting and hopefully some details on a discount day for my club members. Details at the meeting.

I've been to msr in angleton on a motorcycle, so for cars it works the same way? I'm really not into autocross but I'm interested in going to a full on racetrack in the rx8.

I wouldn't say it works the same for cars other than going clockwise or counter around the track. :P Actually there probably isn't much the same about cars vs bikes.
I assume you went to one of the RideSmart days?

yeah, ridesmart. found them through motohouston.com.
what I meant to say is that you register online in the appropriate class (beginner, intermediate, or advanced) , bring your pass, pass the pre-race inspection then you're good to go.
