^^ Cool. Thanks. I may not have to. I ordered 265's for the rear. I was worried the 275's would be pushing it since I'm lowered. I ran 265 35 18 r-compounds for autocrossing and those were fine in the width. I am however on 19's now plus I'm a little lower w/these koni's. We'll see. I'll def letcha know.

Man I absolutely love your wheels!

Well, I'm starting to get ready for the Z meet. I bought my clear corners today and did a little investigating into the RB program. We'll see how quickly I can progress before the end of the month.

And I just bought a grounding Kit off eBay. I'm trying to decide between flash, RB cat back, and REVi intake. I'm not sure which one next. I'll decided this weekend when I have a chance to install everything. ;p

Monique and I were talking a little about the grounding kit and I wound up getting in touch with a very skeptical friend, asking him what he thought.

His response about the grounding kit:

I think you should install the NedRob air kit. It consists of 14 low
density/high volume reservoirs full of an Oxygen/Nitrogen blend that are
placed in the engine compartment and trunk. They ensure there is enough
ambient gaseous atmosphere for cooling and engine ignition. Now, don't
believe the naysayers; they may LOOK like milk jugs, but they are formed
from a space-age plastic and are made to exact specifications. The Borden
label is only to deter high-performance parts thieves.

Get your kit now for only $1400.00!!!!

Limited time offer: High-Performance NedRob sticker free for the first
65,000 orders only!
Then one of his friends (a New Orleans guy who has a bad a$$ turbo supra) said he heard that the grounding kits were a useful upgrade for the RX8 (and actually has them installed in his cars). So I decided to order it. We'll see if I get any extra HP out of it.

Get it all! Of course the flash will have to be done separate & you’ll be w/o your car for two days but go for it. I did my exhaust first. Then the Flash and REVi. Of course I still need the ram air & screens. When you get the REVi get the ram air duct with it. I suggest the front sway bar & end links also. That makes the ride feel so much stiffer (but not too much) & sporty. And if ya think your car hugs corners now… think tighter! As far as performance I think the flash made the biggest improvement. If you're prioritizing I'd do the flash, intake then the exhaust.

I'm into the instant gratification thing as much as the next person, but I showed restraint and didn't get everything at one time. I'm going to get the flash and have a little fun. I dunno. Maybe for my birthday, which is next month. And probably a little while after that, I'll get the full intake, exhaust, and the 2 oil cooler screens (I already have the radiator screen).

I could have done it all at once, but then that's no fun.

^ I know what you mean. I've done lots to mine but this has been over the course of 3.5 years. I'll do one thing and I'll be satisfied. Then I get that itch to do something else and it never ends. I love it though.

Hey tomorrow's my birthday and I'm getting my new wheels- woohoooo! I won't have them on the car for a while though. I'm gonna "transplant" TPMS into these new ones. I regret not doing it on this last set. Problem is I'm stuck between paying to have a set of OEMs dismounted to remove them ($80.00 w/o remounting) or buying another set for $100 on ebay or something and selling this second set of OEMS w/TPMS and tires still mounted ~shrug~

Hey, I told you wrong on the ground point for your coils. Instead of at each coil mount, there's a bolt back by the bottom of the oil fill tube, with 4 wires. That's where you ground the coils.

Hey, one more addtion...

I just installed my RB Ram Air. I have an HKS Twin Power DLI II on the way to get my ignition "fired UP". Just finished painting the center of my rusty Brake Disks and added RX-8 decals on the calipers. I'll post a pic when I get it back together.

HEY, as John posted my nasty dent.....does anyone have a recommendation on a good body shop to take care of the before the big Z event?????

Later Gater

Can you get a pic?

I'm hoping to get a chance to install them this weekend.

/edit: wait, so you mean run the ground from those 4 wires to the battery instead of from the nut on each coil to the battery?

Here's a pic of the ground spot, just in front of the Oil filter. There are currently 4 wires grounded there. Run that to your junction, then daisy chain your alternator, and the two or three grounds around your ECU. Don't forget the main ground right under the airbox. Tie everything together and walah. Don't do the ground to each coil like I had, that does nothing, since the outside of the coil is insulated.

Installed my HKS DLI II Ignition today. WOW what a difference.

Give me a call if you want some more info. If you get a chance, I'd still like to check out your choppers.
