The military has a deal with Wesley Inn's here in Austin. The one off of Riverside was at like $32 a night. I'll see if I can sign for a bunch, if ya'll are interested. They aren't the best in town, but they're a place to stay.

How far is it to 6th street? And thanks for the offer. I really don't care where we crash, just care about the drinking and no-driving.

I want some place close but if we are not camping out them I would be inclined to stay in a pretty descent place. At least to where I feel my car is safe in the parking lot
So I guess it boils down to how close to 6th Street and just how good/bad is Wesley Inn's?

Riverside is on the southside of the river from downtown. But nothing a cab couldn't fix. I have a friend that drives a "van" cab too if you need it. I'd say it about 7 blocks south and 2 blocks east of where the action starts.
The Inn isn't bad; I think these even have a kitchen, a couch, and a king/queen size bed.

Cool, There's a kitchen for the women! that's very thoughtful. But to be back on the topic, when will you be able to find out on more details as far as how many rooms you can get?

Are you talking about the Wellesley Inn & Suites, I couldn't find the other spelling. They look pretty nice to me: http://www.wellesleyinnandsuites.com/ If you can get us the hook up that would be awesome.

Yep thats it. Sorry about my spelling, I don't see their sign every day. I think they have two bed rooms too. I can't remember if the couch pulls out or not though.

1EDIT: Give me a day or two to get with my CPT, since she stays there during the week. She should have all the info I need.

2EDIT: It is now an Extended Stay America. The link below is for the hotel in question.

So can anyone get information on where and how much Jet Skis would be, if that's what we want to do.

Also since we are taking backroads back, Scalli's suggestion, what roads (best route back home) were the best?

If you guys are planning on staying at the motel Klar is suggesting, count me out. I'll just cruise back to my house to crash. No offense, I just don't like those dirt bag digs and that location!

I've already put out the request of how much we want to spend and no one responded. What is the most each of you want to spend on a room, your share? The Omni is a VERY nice hotel and it's within safe walking distance. No cab needed. Keep in mind that a cab for everyone will make up the difference in the Omni.

I guess what I want to spend depends on the location of the hotel in relation to where we want to be and how many we fit to a room. Can we get quotes on the Omni and the other? How much is the average cab fare from 6th St. to the other hotel?

And another thought, with all of us being together, we'd probably have to take more than one cab... = more money.
