Went by Martin's after work yesterday. I saw your wing Jenkins, very cool!! Can't wait to see it on! :D And Fred was up there working too. I saw Slim's 8 with new wheels... talk about a lip! I plan on leaving my 8 with Martin while I'm in Chicago so he can take care of the remaining fitment issues. I'm also hoping the rear end and hood will be ready to go by then, but we'll see.

Jenkins, how did Amber's hair turn out?

The Tree Repellant Works!!!

Well at least on the bumper. :o

There were remnants of a tree on the road this morning on the way to work. I didn't see it because a big van was in front of me, but I swerved around the big branches and had to go over a few of the smaller ones. I checked out the car when I got to work and there was no damage! Woo-hoo for tree repellant!!

Official Score:
Trees - 2, Dazy - 1

I thought I heard Tiff mention it was a special undercoat sprayed before the paint but after the primer. Glad it works.

It's a combination... I swerved the big ones, but hit the smaller ones. I was expecting a scratch or paint chip or twigs stuck in the grills, but all I had were bug guts from the trip. :D

Hello... Man have I missed you guys over the past few weeks (well, some of you :D). Work has been crazy. I install and program computer controls for energy management (outside lights, Air conditioning...). We are doing a lot of work on schools and since it's summer there is a lot of work to be done. Currently I am in a Car Wash parking lot jacking a wireless connection from some poor soul... thanks! I have been working 10-14 hour days so I don't know what time I'll get off tonight.

Anyway, for those who have been PMing me, I'll respond when I get a little more time. As most of you seem to have heard, I am getting married. Fortunately, no date has been set and I haven't picked up the ring yet. A deposit has been made, but I haven't had time to get it. It is an ex that I was with for about a year. I screwed up and let "an outside force" interfere. I should have known better. I guess you get what you deserve.

Ok, enough of that. I checked on my car and it's about 15% complete. Insurance is still messing around with my radiator support. Everything else (besides the exhaust) has been delivered. I guess a little more patience and it will all come out.

Congrats to Jenkins for running the show in Austin. You deserved it. A lot of time, work, and money put to making a hell of a car.

See u guys soon I hope.

Slim... is Martin working on your car? Why is it taking sooooo long? I'm guessing I can
find the answers in the forums... but I don't have the time to search. I hope it doesn't
take nearly as much with my car

martin takes longer because he is pretty much a 2-man shop. he can do all kinds of work and has his own paint booth but he is still very limited on his help. he does good honest work though which i would rather have. he's a good guy that knows his stuff.
