ugh, im so tired. I didn't sleep very well last night and I really don't feel like going in to work.

 

Sounds like Subaru is going with what I wanted. I go in this evening to see what they can finally offer me, but it looks good...or bad..depends how I feel at the moment.

Man if I get rid of my 8 I will miss it sooooooo much. But it's the responsible thing to do for now, or until I can move closer to work, and have more time to maintain it.

Then again it is more practical, and less of a worry.

Oh well, if it works out, it works out.

Well I drive 70 miles a day min.

I'm paying out the nose for gas. And I'm paying on an Rx that will not be worth beans in a year. So it would only make sense to get rid of the car and get something more practical, with a high resale value. Then I could get my Rx back later.

But....

I decided against it. Teape made a fairly good deal, but it's still not good enough to make it worth my while.

So...

I'm probably going to just keep my Rx-8 the long haul. Besides the fact that I love it, I have always wanted to pay a car off lol

 

Ouch, I can see why you want to trade in.

I paid cash when I bought my mustang new and my rx8 is my first car payment. I hate it. I want it paid off ASAP.

I don't like the idea that someone can just come and take away my stuff if something happens financially. Thats also why I want to pay off my house in 15 years instead of 30. I think at the rate my wife and I are going now we'll do it in 11, but I'm sure when we have kids we'll have to back off on the extra payments.

 

I rode 60 miles yesterday. and it was HOT! I'm getting ready for the HHH Saturday.

I'm tired today!

 

What a nasty, ugly, rainy, depressing Monday.

I failed you all.

I only made it to Hell's gate ~65 miles. It took me 4 Hours inclluding my Rest Stops. I averaged 15 mph.

Then I couldn't go any further due to severe muscle cramps.

 

I really wished it rained tomorrow rather than today. Grr.

Because I really needed traffic to not be so gay today, but it was. Tight schedule...

And I gave in my car to service king to get my bumper fixed/replaced, that's gonna take a few days at least

 

I can't ever get caught up here at work. It seems like there's an infinite ammount of work and they gave it all to me at once!

Thing is they don't pay overtime unless it's approved. And they wont' approve any. So I can only do what I can during the day, and that's it. At this rate it will be 3 months before I can finish just what's in my inbox now. Muchless whatever else they keep stacking on me!

 

Are you NUTS?!?!?! You must not have read the posts I made concerning Service King and their super-crappy work and service. I'm not going to repeat myself, but rather wish you good luck. (And I wouldn't bet on your bumper getting replaced.)

My visor broke...AGAIN! I just had it replaced like 3 weeks ago!

Sometimes this car really annoys me.

I've never seen such a high maintenace, finicky car.

Is it just me or what?

Let's see:
-Paint that falls off if you breathe to hard on it
-Plastic pieces that can't take direct sun
-Hit a bump and jar everything loose, which then proceeds to rattel for eternity
-Every latch/trim piece breaks or scuffs
-Whole Brake assembly rust like I drive through the Pacific every day..uncontrolable rust may I add.

My car looks like it went through war...
I guess I know what I'm doing tonight.

 

Erm...I tried searching your posts, no luck.

They're getting the bumper replaced and painted, I got rear ended and her insurace company is going to pay for it, so....

I'm going to the one in Grand Prairie (I-20), they seem to know what they're doing.

 

And what exactly would those ways be?
