You've got to miss it Dazy, at least a little?

Maybe you should pick up an fc or something to work on once you get your house settled in. Then you can be cool again! And you'll have a reason to need to haul lots of parts!

Just found out they are putting ANOTHER motor in my car.

Yep, it's officially gone. I don't really miss it given that I haven't really been able to drive it much this year, but it'll hurt when I can't go on road trip to drive twisties or when I want to see everyone but don't have the car to match. It's actually nice to not worry about scratches or dents, especially since most of those can't be prevented anyway. Seeing over all the other cars is WAY cool and the dog gets to run around the back now without worrying about her scratching anything.

We talked about getting a project car, but that's after the house is done and the pool is built and and we're down to only one car payment.

Thanks Jenkins!!

And Mr. Ed posting is VERY random!!

Slim - check your PM.

I'm sure I'd be thinking differently if that stupid tree hadn't jumped out in front of me and that stupid F250 hadn't pulled out in front of me either, BUT, that's not how the cookie crumbled. We all still keep in touch though, so that's good. We need to get together sometime!! Weren't we supposed to do something on a Saturday? I remember talking about beer... Mr. Ed - aren't you supposed to have us over for a housewarming BBQ or something?!?

.
That's one reason I'm considering trading. It would be nice to be worry free!

But I may end-up getting a new 2.5i, but I am going to give them my "deal" and if they go with it then I'll buy the car, but only if they give me everything I want. Because I don't want to pay too much for that car. Only 173 hp, somewhat plain styling, and very few options. But if anything four door, I think this would fit me best right now.

Well, when I was at that crap dealership, Toyota of Irving, they came in and said they could only give me 15,500. I told them no way. They came back and said ok we can give 19,500 for it. Which I think is pretty fair, but still leaves me upside down a little. But I think that is probably around the best I can get. We'll see.

I"ll probably push for the whole pay-off and see what happens. Teape Subaru is who I'm talking with now, and they seem to be really nice. They say they have a buyer for my car.

19,500 is VERY good. I was lucky to find someone to pay off my loan, which was $1k less. I was offered 15,500 at first by Hiley and got a few sight-unseen offers at $17k. The lowest was Carmax at 13,500.

Dazy - How many miles do you have? I have 33k. That's another reason I'm thinking of trading, because right now I can't afford to fix major porblems all the time, and my warranty is almost up.

chr!s - I'm looking at an impreza 2.5i. I do like the legacy, but not for the price. I think subaru is a little overpriced for what you get. sort of like Honda. But I'm going to go today to test drive, and look at some.

btw I already checked and my insurance will go up $50 a month. And that's for a NA 4cyl boxer. Only 173hp four door sedan. I couldn't believe that.

Holy **** I figured we would be offered quite a bit more for our vehicles on trade. Car Max usually is the best place to take your car and sell it hell they bought my 97 Civic with hail damage and 115k miles for 3k and that was a 7 year old car. That was when the best offer I received from any dealership was 2k and that was pushing it. That is for a 2004 GT 6-speed with 31k miles.

KBB trade in value:
Condition Value
Excellent $19,700
(Selected)
Good $18,575
Fair $16,515

You guys know of a good way to dress up the side vents?

And no, I'm not willing to spend the 300 or 400 bucks for those carbon fiber side ones.

We're talking cheap here.....

No not strakes. Something to replace the entire side vent.

The CF ones I was talking about are:
CF Vents

I'm not willing to spend 245.00USD to do it.

I'm still playing with the idea of making "shells" out of them, much akin to the black matte grille inserts that are oh-so-popular with the A4/S4 audi crowd.

However, I don't have the ***** to take a drill to them without a spare set first
