Did you say AWD Spyder?! He's got to want a pretty penny for that.

That's IT?!?! For an 97 GS-T Spyder AWD conversion? With those mods? If the car is in good condition he could get $11k easily. Hell, when I had my turbo RS for sale I was asking $9k and I was fighting people off. And the interior of my Eclipse was crap (the rest of the car was immaculate though). He should ask for more.

Damn ... I'm comtemplating it ... but I don't need a 3rd car!!!! Does he have pics or it on DSM registry? I can post it up on a few other boards ... $9k sounds like a good price.

ok first of all it probably isn't AWD...you can't fit the rear dif with all the convertible components. i've owned 3 DSMs two AWD and one FWD. my FWD was putting down around 387 to the wheels...i miss that car. if i didn't have the R32 i would possible pick this car up...but i don't like the spyders(too heavy) and if its high miles you still have to worry about the dreaded crankwalk issue!!! hope he sells it though...not trying to flame him or anything.

It would a fairly nice car, and as a former DSM owner I can say they are really easy to work on too. I'm sure Mr. Ed can agree with me on that. Personally I'd rather spend ~9k on a 2g eclipse gst/gsx than buy an EVO. Same engine just better styling.

No, there are defintely AWD spyders out there (conversions of course). I've seen a few of them at the DSM Shootout (I've been going every year for a long while). Its really freaking tough to do and thus why I said "Only $9k?!". And crankwalk has NOTHING to do with mileage on the motor. I've seen brand new built 7-bolts crankwalk in the first 150-200 miles of the rebuild. I wonder if it's got a 6-bolt in there ... hell its been through an AWD conversion.

I also have a DSM though the bastard step child of the bunch (non-turbo 2g). But it gets a decent amount of respect now days ... it only makes 398 to the front wheels (and it's the only thing that keeps me from going nuts on my 8).

Tell me about it ... I'm still waiting for a 2g-b (97-99) GSX to pop up barely modded. God that would be the ******* day.

Please ignore me ... I've been drinking heavily because I just went out with a girl I used to date (against my better judgement I might add). Why I just say yes when she asks to see me I'll never ******* know ...

FYI on the Spyder: There are some things that should be repaired. There some bumper damage, right front wheel had a fight with the curb and lost, a small leak in the roof (I know exactly where), the front leather seats could be replaced, the carpet could be replaced. Little things like that, which all add up. It has 125300 miles on it.

BLOODROZ - Did you get the package I sent? I sent two and the other person received his.

Jenkins - The laptop works great, thanks again! Hopefully the new keyboard will be here this week. I also posted pics from Sat night on RR if you wanted to check them out. In the Rendezvous section.
