They just asked for voluntary evacuation in my little town in Chambers County.
Lucky me though, I am on the Hurricane Crew at my job so I get to stay at work while my wife and kids are leaving to get away from the storm when it gets here.

 

This really does suck because I had to call LaQuinta Conference Center Hotel this morning and cancel my reservations for the BBQ.
But I have to take care of my famliy. I just wish this Hurricane would take a different route.

 

I wasn't planning on this, but I'll probably be in Dallas this weekend. Is it too late to rsvp? Can I just show up?

well my car wont be completely done by the BBQ... but oh well. At least I'll have my car.
Can't wait... 4 more days and counting...

 

What time is the "pre-BBQ POW WOW"? I have to go to a football game but I could come out for a bit afterwards.

 

7:30 - 8:00 for peeps that want to voluteer at the BBQ.

This maybe a little too late and somewhat not normal... but what about an alternate site?
If so... what about a parking garage?

I don't know if any company would let us do this, but the garages downtown are HUGE and are very empty on the weekends. Imagining this, it sounds really fun. We can protect all our cars (and us) from the rain, and it'll make for great photos
Ok, just a random thought... back to work now.

Well, considering an 80% chance of rain on Saturday... how is this going to affect things?

 

Fred (Rotarygod) his better half, and I might need a place to crash for a night or two if we head that way thursday, anyone feel like opening up some floor space for us? We buy good beer and are nice people PM me if thats something you could possibly do.
