I would buy my Royal Purple in 5W-40 but thats hella $$$... 10W-30 is about the highest you want to go, the clearances in the 8's Renesis rotary engine arent like as big as they were in the 13B in the RX7... Goodluck and glad you love the 8

yeah because you have so much knowledge about cars in general......

Recaro only makes seats for the R3...

Oh btw go ask Kane what I told you, hes the one that told me that Brembo make the brakes, Recaro made the seats, tokico makes the shocks etc. I guess that makes him wrong too ehh?

And as far as what I posted I told RR i was told wrong apparently and accepted that. I was told that by a friend, I must have butchered what he said. People make mistakes as I just posted what I thought he said without even thinking about it. Happy I was wrong Grunge?

every car that has brembo oem calipers... the calipers have the logo visible for advertising.... the same goes for Recaro seats, just like with the R3

You are right that tokico makes the shocks, they are labeled as such when you take them out and look at them.

It's just with all the new members we have coming in looking for info, the last thing we need is someone feeding them misinformation.

And just so you know, I know someone that works at a local Mazda dealer.... the calipers are listed as being made by Mazda as well as the seats. He looked up the Recaro seats for the R3... manufacture... Recaro, shocks.... Bilstien, wheels .... BBS

Yes, sorry to burst your bubble but Brembo does not make our brakes. Trust me, if they did they would let it be known, same as Hyundai, Nissan, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, and Subaru does.

I would say 2" height max and 12-15" long for the decals. We need to do this ASAP.

Just updated the thread, but figured I'd post here too...

Heard back from laredo and they said the rough estimate is $7500. Now I just have to wait for the estimate that the insurance guy gave me...

Damn..... $7500.00. If the insurance quote is close you are probably looking at a total loss.

I'm really hoping it's close to that, regardless of whether or not they total it. If they total it, I guess it doesn't matter what the estimate is, but if it is going to be repaired, I'd prefer it get repaired at laredo.

the place I get the vinyl from is a sign shop on Rhapsody off 281 ( I can't remember the name) we could walk in and have them done while you wait just pick a font and letter size/color and they can cut them right away...

Well if I'm wrong I'm wrong but I'm just repeating what Kane sent me in a PM... I'll PM him again and ask if he remembers sending that. It was awhile ago, thanks though...

Wow... so is this laredo overcharging or is this the insurance company low-balling me? (probably both I'm guessing...). Insurance company's estimate is $3400. I'd imagine there's no way I'll get them up to what laredo is charging unless they have ignored some repairs that are needed.

likely the Insurance company is low balling, Like I said when I wrecked my Mazdaspeed protege the estimate at IPAQ was a couple thousand higher than Statefarm because their quote included used parts and they wanted to "fix" certain parts rather than replace them.
