Can't speak for everyone, but I don't think I'm special (well at least not in the way you are referring to anyway). Putting on meets like the state meet or even some of the very large cruises in DFW (15 cars+) can be stressful when there are people in the meets that don't exercise common sense (like doing stupid stuff in front of cops). Doing an invite only meet means there isn't a worry about waivers, people not following rules, or being stupid. Also since those meets are really small, its really easy to be flexible and change plans on a whim when something doesn't work out. Aka it doesn't have to be as planned out.

Considering everyone brought their Significant other, probably would be more appropriate to say it was an orgy. (No there was nothing like that going on.

^lol... the last quote and response made that post awesome. I was just about to comment on the fact that most of those were mostly joking.

@9k's link: I misheard the bit at the beginning as "42,000" when they said "sporty two thousand (four)"... was thinking that was the price they had listed it lol. It's hard to tell if it was a bad dealer, bad buyer or mix of both... either way, the buyer should be a bit more aware and it didn't sound like he understood enough about the contracts to ensure he was protected or could seek legal advice to support his side.

Do we know a member with a VR with the MS spoiler and chrome 5 spoke wheels? Saw that car at the SA airport parking garage yesterday.

Whatever that dude got his *** saved. We all know that engine would have blown in about 10k. Unless its built by me then it will never die ever to infinity and beyond...

I like the bit about the bad credit. Seems like they're ready to do the same thing again. I guess that's not really a surprise.

The wheels weren't bad actually. They reminded me of the volk SF challenge. They weren't actually volks and weren't quite the same, but they were similar. I'm not a fan of chrome wheels and I definitely would have gone with something else, but they looked alright.

I know a lot of people aren't as interested in the 2.7t engine/audis as I am, but this graph is impressive... does that count as linear?
