Sorry, I saw the other video clip in the thread a few pages back, and couldn't help but post this. One of the last days I took the 7 out before I sold her. 13 days till I land in San Antonio!

Yep. First time living in TX. Have family in Austin and Dallas. Looking to take 10 days of leave in route to pick up the 8 and install all the parts. I'm certainly going to miss the roads in Japan, but with enough travel time TX has enough to offer.

I have lived a bit of everywhere between the military and being a contractor..... I liked San an the best and have made it my home. We have a very active rx8 club. I work... or will be working at fort sam.

Certainly looking forward to that. I was the only american rotary guy here in Sasebo. I bought the R3 after shopping around online for a few months. Did all the loan paperwork online and via a PoA with my father in Dallas. I've got a good list of parts waiting to install when I arrive. Rays RE30 18x9.5j+28 w/ R-S3 245/40's, SS Brake lines, TurboXS header-back exhaust, Mini CEL fix, LED lights, Moddiction 1lb shifter, 3M tint, RB oil screens, APEXi ECV, RR Clutch brace and Powertrix 10k/7k coils. Looking around for a good tint shop, but no one has replied to any of my e-mails (perhaps b/c im overseas still). Needless to say I'm going to be clawing at my seat for that 13hr flight to TX.

When: 3pm to 8pm
Greeting, registration and begin vehicle staging for car show.
Out of town attendees arriving late can contact WHiV hosts to get registered.
PARTY AT THE CIRCUS CIRCUS
Where: Circus Circus Hospitality Suite
When: 8pm to whenever
Party will be BYOB with horderves, chips and dips supplied by WHiV5.
SATURDAY MAY 19th
ROTARY SHOW
Check-in begins at 7am
Show 8am to 1pm
This year a rotary show will be held in the parking area behind The Circus Circus Adventure-dome. There will be several categories depending upon the cars registered prior to the event. Repus, old school, 7’s, and 8’s will be judged separately. 7s may be broken up into first, second and third gen vehicles if preregistration shows a sufficient number. All rotary vehicles registered in the show will be eligible for trophies.
TROPHIES, RAFFLE, AND FOOD
Raffle tickets will be sold at the meet and greet on Friday and during the car show on Saturday. Drawing for raffle prizes, announcement of car show winners and presentation of trophies will be done at conclusion of car show.
For attendees convenience there will be food vendors available during the show as there will not be a lunch as in past years.
ANNUAL CRUISE
2PM
Be prepared for an approx. 2hr drive
TRADITIONAL GET TOGETHER AT THE HOFFBRAU HOUSE
When: 8pm to 11pm
A No Host Dinner is served and prices range from $10.00 and up for traditional German fare. The beer flows at all times (pay as you go). A German band plays and the noise, laughing, and crying from the group almost drowns out the band.
SCENIC CRUISE
We will have a short cruise to a scenic area to be announced
AFTER CRUISE BBQ
At an area to be announced. Food and soda provided by a sponsor

so i should be doing my first 500 oil change this weekend, along with putting in the oil filter adapter/temp gauge in and upgrading my spark plugs..... anyone want to come over and lend a hand?
